Supertune kicks off USPKS program with four drivers

Competing only forty-five minutes from their home base in Indianapolis, Indiana, Supertune will enter four drivers across six classes this weekend at the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) season opener, The Hoosier Grand Prix, at New Castle Motorsports Park (NCMP). Utilizing the event to fight for race wins and podium results, Supertune will also put an emphasis on testing and preparing for additional events at the New Castle facility later this year.

"It is always nice racing close to home but that doesn't make the results come any easier," explained Ben Cruttenden. "The virus that put our business at a standstill is still ongoing but thankfully we have been able to return to the track. A couple of our competitors have tested at New Castle in the past few weeks, so we are looking to perform well in the first USPKS event of the season."

Pulling double duty on the weekend will be the duo of Noah Baker and Matter Rubio-Luengo as they will both pilot Supertune prepared Tony Kart chassis in KA100 Junior and X30 Junior. Joining them in the X30 Junior category will be 2019 USPKS race winner John Burke as well as Haopeng Zhang in the X30 Senior category.

With karting back underway, Supertune has several gently used Tony Kart chassis available for purchase as well as some other team equipment.

Cruttenden continued, "We have taken the downtime to prepare some of our used team equipment and get it ready for sale. We have a handful of Tony Kart Mini chassis that we can deliver to any upcoming New Castle Motorsports Park event. For any chassis that is purchase by a new customer, new or used, we are offering a complete weekend under the Team Supertune tent at no charge."

On track later this week, official practice will take place on Friday with qualifying, prefinals and main events running on Saturday and Sunday. With two complete race days, Supertune drivers will each have a pair of opportunities in their respective classes to stand on the podium.
