23 Ottobre 2014

HOT NEWS - PRAGA AND TKART - There is a second official test event coming up for anyone who wants to try the brand new Praga R1 car that next season will star across the best race venues of Central Europe in the R1 Endurance Cup.

The test session will be held at the Adria International Raceway in the days following the WSK Final Cup, which will inaugurate the venue’s new kart track on the first weekend in November. Praga offers twenty drivers the opportunity to sit in the carbon-fiber monocoque of its new race car and try the thrill of reaching speeds superior to those of GT3 cars. Participation costs 990 euro, but thanks to an exclusive collaboration, the readers of TKART magazine will enjoy a 120 euro discount to use towards their personal R1 adrenaline run towards the Le Mans 24 Hours. To get the discount use passphrase "tkart" at coupon field at the booking form at: r1ec.com/#TesNowtAtAdria

The Le Mans legend, in fact, is the special prize that Praga has in store: whoever wins the first R1 Endurance Cup season will earn the right to step on track for the next edition of the world’s most prestigious endurance race - 24h Le Mans!

Given the premises, the new Praga concept promises to be very interesting indeed: a perfectly engineered project, not just sporting-wise, but also in technical and organizational terms. Details have yet to be officially confirmed and it sounds as if a street version of the Praga R1 might be coming out soon, confirming that everything has tailored to perfection to fuel the passion of all fans, both on and off track.

As we heard, there are 3 ways to join the R1 endurance cup. Option 1, to buy the car for a reduced price of 119 000 euros and run the car yourself. Option 2 is to sign up with a professional team and adopt an “arrive and drive” strategy, for about 80-90 thousand euros per driver. The final option is to buy the car and let the organiser help you find a team to run the car for you.

As we were saying, however, the first step for everyone is to get hands-on experience of the revolutionary vehicle at the Adria International Raceway, backed by the professional assistance of the Praga team. Those same days, on the new Adria kart track that will host the WSK Final Cup, interested drivers will also have the opportunity to test the new karts by Praga – a historical brand that in these past few years has stepped it up a notch to become one of the most active and productive names in motorsport.

The schedule of the Adria test event is as follows.
For the duration of the WSK Final Cup, there is the possibility to see two (2) Praga R1 cars. Praga driver Jan Charouz and technical manager Jan Martinek will be on track on Saturday, November 1st to provide information and answer questions anyone may have. The actual test event for the 20 registered drivers will run from November 3rd to the 5th so if you would like to try the car on your own please book in advance before the slots run out...
