Rashid Al Dhaheri has taken the title of the 2019 edition of WSK Super Master Series in Mini class. The Parolin driver was the clear winner in today’s final at Circuito Internazionale di Napoli (Sarno) that had three title contenders in the battle.

Despite been the best from qualifying heats, Rashid Al Dhaheri (Parolin/TM Racing/Vega) could not stop the pace of Joel Bergstrom (Parolin/TM Racing/Vega) who took a dominant win in prefinal A. A prefinal in which the championship leader, Ean Eyckmans (Parolin/TM Racing/Vega) suffered a poor start that made him drop from a lot of position, which heavily affected his title chances as he only managed to finish eleventh in the race.

Meanwhile in the other prefinal, Maciej Gladysz (Parolin/TM Racing/Vega) surprised everyone taking the comfortable victory after a comeback from 5th place. Also title contender Alex Powell (Energy/TM Racing/Vega) managed to comeback from 9th to 5th to keep the title chances alive.

In the final, Rashid Al Dhaheri made an incredible start stepping from 6th to second place in the opening lap. The driver from the United Arab Emirates immediately overtook Maciej Gladysz for first position on lap 2.

Al Dhaheri and Gladysz escaped from the rest of the group to battle for the first position, but Gladysz never tried the manoeuvre on the Parolin driver.

Parolin Racing Kart driver, Al Dhaheri driving in the lead already completed “the homework” for his title chances. Meanwhile, the other title contenders were struggling, as Ean Eyckmans (Parolin/TM Racing/Vega) who started from 22th place “only” managed to comeback to the 13th place, which was not enough.

In the other hand, Alex Powell made a few mistakes, going off the track for twice with did not allowed the Jamaican to fight for podium positions. The Energy driver took the 6th place which was not enough for the title hopes.

Al Dhaheri won the final with a very reduced gap on Gladysz, while Andrea Filaferro (Tony Kart/TM Racing/ Vega) completed another podium after an amazing comeback of 11 positions.

The WSK races does not stop, and next weekend the WSK Euroseries is back for his first race of the season that will take place at the Circuito Internazionale di Napoli.
