[dropcap]T[/dropcap]here is not a moment to stop and take a breath in the world of karting: if there are not races holding everyone’s attention, then thoughts turn to the driver’s market.

A bombshell has just hit the scene of two of the official teams, with Simo Puhakka, the 28 year old from Finland, to wear the Kosmic colours from the very next KZ race, and not the CRG racesuit that he has worn for the past 2 seasons.

Joining the Desenzano based CRG team at the start of the 2015 season after many loyal years to PCR, Puhakka picked up a number of important placings, including 5th place in the 2016 CIK/FIA World Championship.

He surprised everyone in the 2015 season, when he won 2 rounds of the WSK Super Master Series.

Last year, he shone in the race in Genk (Belgium) KZ European Championship, when he finished second in the slipstream of the winner Marco Ardigò.

This year, however, the results have been slow in coming. A situation that has ultimately led to the Finn and CRG mutually agreeing to end the relationship.
