[dropcap]T[/dropcap]hose relishing the return of the Lennox-Lamb/Tiene duo, only this time under the Birel ART banner, will be disappointed: Jordon has decided to retire. A future as a team manager awaits. The Englishman, born in 1992, will be responsible for the English Fusion Motorsport team in the division that will take part in the international events.

Fusion Motorsport is a team that has always only participated in UK events in the Mini class, in which it virtually plays the role of leader thanks to its own chassis, built and approved in England.
In 2016, it decided to cross the national borders and take part in the international IAME X30 final, an event that it managed to win in the Junior class at its very first attempt.

The team was founded in 2002 and is owned by Daniel Hazlewood, a 37 year old former kart and Formula Ford driver.
With the arrival of the Jordon, the team will expand its participation in international competitions. The calendar includes the WSK, CIK-FIA, Winter Cup and ROK International events, while within the borders of the UK, the team confirms its participation in the X30 and OK classes, as well as in the X30 Europa.
The division managed by Jordon, who will be based in Lonato, will use the Exprit chassis by the OTK Kart Group and TM Racing engines prepared by GFR which boasts more than ten years’ experience in the industry.

Lennox-Lamb will not only supervise the technical and managerial side of the team, he will also be involved in coaching during practice and test sessions, and Jordon confirms that: “The programme is dedicated to a maximum of 4 drivers, in the OKJ and OK classes. It is best to focus on a small number of drivers, as it allows us to do a better job"

We managed to have a brief conversation with Lennox-Lamb, who has decided to abandon his competitive career at just twenty-four, which is unusual for a top driver: "I’ve always wanted to get involved in the technical side of karting. I've always been in love with this aspect of the sport. When I was 17 or 18 years old, I had a team in England and Adrian Newey’s son used to race for me. Even back then I used to get really excited looking after him and my other driver".

Have you considered the idea of changing teams, before retiring from racing? "I decided to call it a day because I didn’t like the idea of changing and going to another team, as I thought it would make me look bad.
You know, after so many years with CRG, I was only with Birel ART for two years and I didn’t manage to do what I should have done. It didn’t seem right to make another attempt elsewhere to get back to winning ways.
I have to say thanks to Birel Art for the past two years, during which we weren’t able to achieve what we wanted to
".
Are you going to stop racing altogether or will we see you back on the track as a driver? "Looking at the calendar, the KZ World Championship doesn’t have any races “anytime soon”, so ...".
