After numerous team-swaps recorded in the direct-drive classes at the beginning of the summer, here comes an important announcement also regarding the shifter categories: Giuseppe Palomba is now a Birel ART official driver. The now former Croc Promotion standard bearer will race in the KZ2 class and his signing arrives on the eve of an intense series of events scheduled right after the end of the summer break.

Among the official outings planned for for the new Birel ART recruit, there is certainly the grand finale of the Italian ACI Karting Championship in Val Vibrata on September 1st, a tournament that sees Palomba currently in second position and with good chances to run for the title.

Next, there will be highly anticipated International SuperCup, which will get underway on the same week-end of the KZ World Championship in Lonato from 19 to 22 September, and the Trofeo delle Industrie on November 3rd, again at the South Garda Karting. As far as the WSK appointments are concerned, the programs are yet to be defined.

The talent of Giuseppe Palomba, that was on display also in the last round of Sarno of the FIA Karting European Championship in which he took pole and crossed the finish line first in all 5 heats, will surely be of great help to the team led by Ronni Sala and Nicolas Todt, who, with Riccardo Longhi, Alex Irlando, Marijn Kremers and Leonardo Marseglia, managed to put together a real top-team both in KZ and KZ2.

With the aim of reaching the peak of the condition, Palomba will already hit the track on Thursday at the South Garda karting in Lonato for an all-day-long testing session in which he will get the chance to know all the secrets of the new chassis at the wheel of which he will try to impose himself in the last leg of the season. Acting as a sparring partner, while helping him blend into the new team, there will also be Caio Collet, the Brazilian driver grown up in the Birel ART ranks under the guidance of the All Road Management structure and currently racing in Formula Renault with the R-Ace GP team .
