WSK Super Master Series rd 3, Adria - OK Final: Nikita Bedrin is just perfect
Max Bernardi
04 July 2020

On the return to racing after the forced hiatus due to COVID-19, the standard bearer of Ward Racing seems completely changed compared to the earliest races of the season. The Russian manages to keep Antonelli and Barnard, with him on the podium, 4 seconds apart.

Tires: Bridgestone

  • Pole Position, Qualifying Heats, Prefinal and Final victory: Nikita Bedrin's (Ward Racing - Tony Kart - Vortex) opponents are left to bite the dust in the third round of the WSK Super Master Series. The Russian also puts 4 seconds between him and Andrea Kimi Antonelli (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME), winner of the other pre-final and second on the finish line ahead of Taylor Barnard (Rosberg Racing Academy - KR - IAME).

  • Pedro Hiltbrand (Tony Kart Racing Team - Tony Kart - Vortex), who won the first round here and who has suffered from rib pain this week, is fourth after prevailing at the end of a tight race contact with Rafael Camara (Forza Racing - Exprit - TM Racing) who unfortunately stops on the track for a technical problem right at the end of the race. Joseph Turney (Tony Kart Racing Team - Tony Kart - Vortex), until then behind the Brazilian, meets the same fate during the same lap.

  • The fifth place goes to Matheus Morgatto (Parolin Racing Kart - Parolin - TM Racing) who precedes Jamie Day (Leclerc By Lennox Racing - Birel ART - TM Racing), who pulls off a comeback of 9 positions after the one completed in the Prefinal.

  • From the 7th to the 10th position we find the winner's teammate, Norton Andreasson (Ward Racing - Tony Kart - Vortex), followed by Levente Revesz (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME), Lorenzo Patrese (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME ) and Josep Maria Martì (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME).

  • Out of the top ten, Oliver Gray (Leclerc By Lennox Racing - Birel ART - TM Racing) takes the 11th place but slips into 15th position after being penalized by 5 seconds due to the front fairing being not correctly installed. The 11th place went then to the OKJ champion Thomas Ten Brinke (Ricky Flynn Motorsport - Kosmic Kart - Vortex). Only 14th the two-time world champion, Lorenzo Travisanutto (Tony Kart Racing Team - Tony Kart - Vortex).
