02 May 2018

Rome, 30th April 2018. The double final of the first round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship has already produced the first classifications of the Tricolore 2018 series in the categories that took to the track on the Siena circuit, ie 60 Mini, OK-Junior, Rok Trophy, Rotax Trophy, Easykart Trophy.

60 MINI. In the 60 Mini, the category that has successfully opened the 2018 season with 80 riders, sees the head of the ranking occupied by the Norwegian Martinius Stenshorne (Parolin-Tm) thanks to the second place in Race-1 and the victory won in Race-2. The regulation of the Italian Championship does not allow foreign riders to take points in the national categories, such as the 60 Mini and the other national categories of the Marca Trophies and KZ3, but Stenshorne together with other foreign pilots is qualified by its ASN as " Professional Driver ", and therefore has the right to enter the ranking. Behind Stenshorne, who leads with 66 points, Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Energy-Tm) has entered with 44 points. Andrea Filaferro (Birel-Tm) and Brando Badoer (Parolin-Tm) are in third place with 42 points.

Ranking 60 Mini: 1. Stenshorne points 66; 2. Antonelli 44; 3. Filaferro and Badoer 42; 5. Bertuca 20.

OK-JUNIOR. In the OK-Junior is Tommaso Chiappini (Formula K-Tm) to lead with a total of 33 points thanks to the double success in the two Finals on the Circuit of Siena. In this case the score is halved as foreseen by the regulation if at least 15 drivers do not participate in the race. In second place Mattia Ingolfo (KR-Iame) with 24 points, followed by Leonardo Fornaroli and Lorenzo Patrese paired in third place with 19 points.

OK-Junior classification: 1. Chiappini points 33; 2. Ingolfo 24; 3. Fornaroli and Patrese 19; 5. Bertocco 16.

ROK TROPHY Among the Brand Trophies, the Rok championship with the two Junior and Senior categories offered the best starting fleet, surely destined to grow also considering the excellent performance offered in the first test of Siena. In the Junior Rok Federico Cecchi (Tony Kart-Vortex) despite being in spite of having to "get off" from the podium for a penalty in Race-2, he took the lead with 27 points thanks to the second place obtained in Race-1. In the standings, behind him is Raffaele Gulizia (Tony Kart-Vortex) author of two third places in Siena and a single point of separation, while Ugo Ugochukwu (Tony Kart-Vortex), Italian license and American by birth, is third with 23 points. The Brazilian Matheus Morgato Alvarenga (Parolin-Vortex), winner of Race-1 and second in Race-2, is not among the "Professional Drivers" and therefore can not appear in the ranking.

Third is Maciej Szyszko's brother, Szymon Szyszko with 38 points.
