Birel Art, through its “Free Line” brand of accessories, has homologated a new front fairing with revolutionary lines. The result of highly advanced studies conducted with the most advanced software (CFD) for calculating aerodynamic efficiency.

Increasingly studied and evolved, fairings have become a key element in kart design, both from the perspective of protection and safety and with respect to aerodynamic efficiency and performance.
All the most important manufacturers dedicate great care to this detail, as demonstrated by the variety of very interesting products among the 2018 homologations. The front fairing designed by Free Line, Birel Art’s brand of accessories, is one of the most intriguing of these novelties.

Birel Art’s project has focused on the optimization of the front fairing’s aerodynamic impact, while also attributing great importance to aesthetics.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

The historic Italian manufacturer carried out a tremendous amount of research and development internally, creating front fairing prototypes to optimize aerodynamics, while simultaneously taking special care of the aesthetic side. It then commissioned important research from an outside company specializing in computer studies via CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) to analyse solutions for the most aerodynamically-efficient appendages, also in relation to work being done by its competitors.
