This is the traditional CIK FIA European Championship class which in some form at least can date back to the 1960's. In recent years (1991-2006) this title was held for the 100cc Formula A category, before being replaced by the 125cc OK category. In 2016 the OK category replaced KF and immediately saw a increase in both driver numbers and overall interest in the category. The 2016 championship was won by Spain's Pedro Hiltbrand. The European Championship traditionally takes place over 4-5 rounds at circuits in Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Sweden, Finland or England among others.
