WSK Promotion and Tatuus launch the WSK E-Sport Championship: here are the details

WSK Promotion is gearing up to fill the void caused by the COVID-19 emergency through a virtual championship in collaboration with Tatuus: the WSK E-SPORT CHAMPIONSHIP. After all, racing has always been the fundamental part of the WSK Promotion DNA, which, during this forced break, has therefore stepped up to organize a possible virtual alternative. And as always, they aimed for the top.

The championship, in fact, is open to both formula and kart drivers and the event will take advantage of the platform developed by World Pro Racing. The cars used will obviously be Tatuus, Formula 4 cars for qualifying and Formula Regional for the races scheduled for May 23 at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari of Imola.

The format according to which the event will take place will follow in all respects that of a real race weekend, with days dedicated to tests, qualifications and finals. More specifically, 4 days of tests are scheduled on the Adria International Raceway from 15 to 18 May while the day of Tuesday 19 May will be dedicated to the preselection for the grand finale. Only the first 12 of each of the two semi-finals that will close the pre-selection will have a guaranteed place on the grid for the Imola races, while the others will still be able to attempt the repechage, again on May 23, thanks to the Last Chance Race which will take place just before the finals and that will guarantee the access to the first 6 qualified.

In the evening, qualifying will begin for the two 25-minute finals that will take place one after the other, at the end of which we will know the name of the winner.

WSK Promotion and Tatuus will take advantage of the help of the CSAI Federal School, with a real race director while the software will take care of simulating tire wear, fuel consumption and any damage to the cars.

The event will be broadcast and called live, as it always happens for all WSK Promotion races, on all WSK channels.

Information, requirements, registration procedures and detailed regulations are available in the folder dedicated to the event at worldproracing.com.

WSK Promotion advises all drivers to create a Discord account to receive the passwords needed to participate in the Adria tests.
