The 48th Trofeo delle Industrie ran on November 3rd 2019 at the South Garda Karting Circuit of Lonato will be remembered for the record number of 247 verified drivers out of the 253 entered from 42 different countries. The competitiveness of drivers has been exceptional as usual, as the rain has affected the event organized by Parma Motorsport for the fourth time in a row.

The rain has been quite annoying for all drivers starting from qualifying up to the very wet Prefinal before easing it off a bit for the Final. It made the competition tougher but highlighted the driving skills of the best, that were not only from the north.

An Italian driver has been excellent: Lorenzo Giannoni has been a real rain-master and dominated KZ2 on Sodi-Tm winning also the Memorial Carlo Fabi, that is the trophy reserved to the driver getting the best results in all the phases of the competition, from the pole position to the heats, Prefinal and Final. The result obtained by Giannoni rightly places him in the Hall of Fame of the Trofeo delle Industrie, and particularly in that of the Memorial Carlo Fabi, that is the trophy devised by his sons Teo and Corrado to remember the big motorsport passion of their father.

The long list of the winners of the Trofeo delle Industrie, started back in 1971 with the victory of Gabriele Gorini, includes several big names of motorsport, like Corrado Fabi (1973), Stefano Modena (1981), multiple-times World Champion Davide Forè (1989, 2013), Giancarlo Fisichella (1990), and other multiple-champions like Alessandro Piccini (1992, 1993, 1994) and Francesco Laudato (1995, 1997), Daniil Kvyat (2008) as well as other big names of karting and motorsport. In 2019, together with KZ2 and Memorial Carlo Fabi winner Lorenzo Giannoni, the other winners of this 48th edition were Dilano Vanthoff in OK, Alessandro Cenedese in OK-Junior, the Russian Kirill Kutskov in 60 Minikart and Danny Carenini in Iame X30 Senior.
