The Cetilar Performance Project is born, a new reality that involves "brands" of excellence in the tricolor motoring landscape, aiming at the growth of young people in the broadest sense of the term. A reality that immediately begins to operate in the world of karting, selecting three drivers in the grass with the intention of following them on a path of growth and maturation that goes beyond the action on the track.

PARTNER

The Performance project, supported by Cetilar Racing, was officially presented today in Sarno, at the Naples International Circuit, within the hospitality of Kart Republic, on the occasion of the final appointment of the WSK Super Master Series. An ideal context for the various parties involved. Starting from Cetilar Racing, the all-Italian team, born from the will of the pilot Roberto Lacorte - present at the event along with the other two drivers Giorgio Sernagiotto and Andrea Belicchi - who will be involved in his third participation in the Le Mans 24 Hours in June and in the European Le Mans Series (already confirmed the challenge of the 4 Hours of Monza which will be held in May), as well as coming to enter the FIA WEC 2019/2020 world championship with the Dallara class LMP2 prototype.

The same manufacturer of Varano de 'Melegari, pride of the "made in Italy" in the world, is an integral part of the operation. Like Formula Medicine, the well-known Professional Driver Training center headed by Dr. Riccardo Ceccarelli. To continue with Freem (company of accessories and racing clothing), Kart Republic of the talent scout Dino Chiesa, under whose wing also Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, Devid De Luchi's Team Driver, Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth and WSK Promotion.

PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy of the Cetilar Performance Project is based on the concepts of valorisation and sharing. The objective is to support, through the Italian excellence involved, the growth of pilots from a technical and human point of view, starting from the experience accumulated by Cetilar Racing with its partners, which represent the "made in Italy" in the world. The first rule is therefore to focus on the personal aspect of the young people involved, on the actual 360 ° training of pilots and above all of the men they will be, basing their activity on values such as discipline, responsibility, the spirit of sacrifice , but also the constant search for the limit.

MODUS OPERANDI

To forge the character of the young drivers and transmit sound and substantial growth values, in the course of 2019 they will be given training days. The personality must be built together with the driving technique, through a path that includes several stages. For the selected pilots a visit to Dallara is therefore planned, where they will have the opportunity to try out the professional simulator and develop experiential activities in contact with technicians, designers and track engineers. At the Freem headquarters they will be able to see how the suits are made and the pilots' data collection projects with new, futuristic technologies. In the Kart Republic factory we will witness the construction and technical development of a kart in the smallest details. Formula Medicine instead, which will follow the drivers with its staff during all the trips, will be responsible for mental and physical training, with three complete sessions organized at the Viareggio site, a reference point for top drivers from all over the world.

PILOTS

Three young drivers have been selected for the Cetilar Performance 2019 Project, who will be part of the "Ala Blu" group and will be accompanied by Cetilar in this important growth path: Joel Bergström, Sebastiano Pavan and Alfio Spina. Pavan and Bergström, both 11-year-olds, race in the Mini category with Devid De Luchi's Team Driver, a well-established company linked to Dino Chiesa's Kart Republic. Padovano the first, Swedish transplanted to Salò the second, come from a 2018 in which they were protagonists in the X30 Championship and in the WSK Final Cup (closed by Bergström in third place in the Mini category). Born in August 2016, the Sicilian Spina is instead engaged in the OK-J class with Kart Republic.

ROBERTO LACORTE: "After all these years in which we have built something with our team that I believe is of great value in the endurance world, it is our intention to share and spread to the new generations the experience that has been made, working with young people who they already run in karting at very high levels, a "mission" that we face with important partners. The expectation is to grow drivers, both in terms of performance on the track and in terms of character development. Cetilar Racing wants to monitor both the sporting abilities and the personality of these kids, without neglecting even their scholastic aptitudes: aspects that must be absolutely crossed to help them in their training in a more complete sense. in physical-mental training, also asking to see their school reports ".
