Solokarting Racing Team wraps its 2019 season with a victory, thanks to the prestigious success at the 2019 Copa de Campeones signed by David Trefilov in the KZ2 category. The German driver managed to impose himself on his opponents in his first career race at the Circuito Internacional de Zuera (Zaragoza), in which the other driver fielded by the team in the same class also did well: Alfonso Locertales from Madrid, at his first participation at the Copa de Campeones.

Driving their Maranello RS10 karts equipped with the TM Racing KZ R1 engines prepared by SRP Engines and Alfano 6 telemetry, both drivers were able to clock fast times since free practice on Thursday, in a weekend affected by particular weather conditions. The thick fog that enveloped the track from Saturday, in fact, compromised the regular continuation of the event due to the almost total lack of visibility, to the point of forcing the commissioners to cancel Sunday's finals.

The podium of the KZ2 was therefore decided based on the classification of the first qualifying heat, brilliantly won by David Trefilov who, after ranking in fourth position on the first lap, pulled himself into the lead already by the fifth lap and maintained his position until to the checkered flag. A result that reflects the level of competitiveness shown by the team and by David, in first position since free practice and author of the second best time in official qualifying.

David Locertales' debut in the Copa de Campeones was also more than satisfactory and it is a shame that the fog prevented him from taking further steps forward: the Spaniard managed to stay close to the top 10 in all the official rounds and has fought tenaciously in the only qualifying heat raced.

These results are very satisfactory for Solokarting Racing Team, who took the opportunity to thank its partners Maranello, Maik Siebecke of SRP Engines and Alfano for the excellent equipment, as well as Fabian Federer for his help off track.
