November 12, 2018 - After renewing their multi-year agreement with the Formula Karting Championship (FKC) as the series' official tire supplier, LeCont is little by little consolidating its quality and name in the American market. On the heels of signing their new partnership with FKC, LeCont also renewed their contract with the Northwest Gold Cup Series, the most traditional series in the country.

"I am ecstatic that we have gained momentum and continue to push our brand throughout North America," explained WR Motorsports' Wagner Rossi. "The West Coast is a big market for us and we have our feet firmly planted in it. 2019 is going to be a good season and we are not only looking forward to that but also for years to come."

The 2018 Northwest Gold Cup Awards Banquet and Conference took place last November 3-4, 2018 in Seattle, Washington where NW Gold Cup / LeCont Tire Champions were crowned in both road race and sprint divisions.

During the same weekend, ten clubs voted unanimously to continue using LeCont as the official tire supplier for the series. LeCont Tires will be the spec tire for Tri-Cities Kart Club, Portland Karting Association, Puget Sound Road Race Association, Spokane Kart Racing Association, North West Road Racers, Portland Karting Association Road Race, Snake River Karters, West Coast Kart Club, Sumas International Motorsport Academy, and the Southern Oregon Karters.

"2018 was one of the best Northwest Gold Cup seasons in its history, and we are very proud to take part in that," stated Victor Pedrosa from WR Motorsports. "We've been working with the Northwest region for so many years and our goal is to grow the sport and provide top quality customer support."

The 2019 Northwest Gold Cup Season Schedule has now been confirmed:
Tri-Cities: April 12-14
Boise: May 24-26
McMinnville: June 14-16
Chilliwack: July 12-14
SIMA: August 2-4
