GM

23 September 2020

The premiere on the brand new Franciacorta Kart Track saw a series of exciting Finals with many twists that kept the whole paddock in suspense until beyond the checkered flag. The stage winners are: Leon Brunner (60 Easykart), Mikes Miroslav (100 Easy), Gabriele Cazzaniga (125 Easy), Marco Beretta (125 Senior) and Alessandro Salvarani (BMB Challenge).

The results of the fifth round also awarded the title of national champions: Cristian Tonalini (60 Easykart), Daniele D'Urso (100 Easy), Francesco Ruga (125 Easy), Marco Beretta (125 Senior) and Marco Bernardi (BMB Challenge) .

60 Easykart: Leon Brunner wins the fifth round, Cristian Tonalini champion

It was a final that lived up to expectations with many twists and turns, side by side duels up to the checkered flag, with the top five placed in just over half a second: the winner was Leon Brunner in front of the champion Cristian Tonalini , in third position Dylan Turri. Pole position in qualifying, Tonalini's victory in the Prefinal, Emilio Tedesco's fastest lap in the Final.

100 Easykart: first victory for Mikes Miroslav, Daniele D’Urso champion

Mikes Miroslav took his first Easykart victory for 25 thousandths of a second after a sprint finish with Simone Principalli. It was a real battle that lasted throughout the race with Miroslav, Principalli, Alessandro Pedini Amati and the new champion Daniele D’Urso, who were the protagonists of top level challenges and with many overtakes. D'Urso crossed the line in third place, but was then penalized by five seconds for the front nose, finishing fourth, behind Pedini Amati. Pole position by Andrea Calabrese, the pre-final was won by Miroslav while the fastest lap in the Final was scored by Principalli.

125 Easykart: Gabriele Cazzaniga wins the fifth round, Francesco Ruga champion

A high-tension Final that experienced a twist already at the ready start with the best contender for the title Francesco Ruga already out during the first lap. Another surprise during the race that involved the group leader Luca D’Alonzo, who was penalized by three seconds for lack of correct alignment on the grid. Andrea Torello was therefore in first place, but was then relegated to sixth position for a five-second penalty for the front nose. The winner was therefore Gabriele Cazzaniga (author of the fastest lap), second Edoardo Prioglio, third Alessandro Viganò. Pole position and victory in the Prefinal for Andrea Torello.

125 Senior: victory and title for Marco Beretta

The Senior also experienced a weekend full of twists with the provisional leader Rosolino Caralla not present on the track in Castrezzato. With Caralla out of the game, Marco Beretta and Domenico Palumbo gave life to a hot challenge to conquer the scepter of champion: therefore, Marco Beretta (fastest lap for him) won the Final and the title, ahead of Domenico Vincenzo Bulgarelli. Beretta was the fastest in qualifying while Fabio Marangon won the Prefinal.

BMB Challenge: Alessandro Salvarani wins the stage, Marco Bernardi champion

Alessandro Salvarani interrupts the winning streak of different winners in the Final at each race weekend, taking his second personal triumph in the category born last year. To cross the finish line of the Final first was, however, a different thirteenth winner -Leonardo Principalli: the Swiss driver had set Salvarani himself in the sprint, but was then penalized by five seconds for the release of the front nose and was classified in second place. Alessandro Gnecchi, author of a very competitive weekend, is back on the podium. Salvarani also took pole, victory in the pre-final and fastest lap in the Final.

Easytraining: simulations continue

Like their older brothers, even the Easytraining baby drivers took to the track with the usual race program or with free practice, simulations and theoretical briefings during which the instructor studied all the rules to follow on the track. At the end of the weekend, all the aspiring drivers were awarded on the podium together with the drivers of the major categories.

The 2020 Easykart Trophy season ended in Castrezzato, but… it isn't over yet: we will meet at the "7 Laghi Kart" in Castelletto di Branduzzo on the weekend of 10 and 11 October for the International Grand Finals, the world championship. Easykart! Soon all the information for registrations, rankings and photos.

Stay racing, stay happy and think Easy!
