We are now just a few days away from the beginning of the FIA Karting World Championship for the OK and JUNIOR classes. Drivers and teams are already in Finland, ready to fight each other on the tarmac of the Alahärmä Powerpark to grab the most coveted title in the international karting scene.

This is not , however, a meeting whose importance is limited to the karting sphere: the FIA Karting World Championship is a milestone not only for those who will become a specialist in the discipline but also in the career of those drivers wishing to continue their journey up to the most important motorsport series. With so much at stake, tensions are certainly running high.

The top talents competing nowadays in Formula 1 are fully aware of it and many of them thought about sending a message of good luck to all the competitors fighting for the title this weekend. A nice gesture, even by those who (theoretically) should have abandoned karting by now like Robert Kubica and Lucas Di Grassi, that shows, once again, how much the karting discipline shaped the career of the greatest champions.
