[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he electric motor applied to cars is in continuous development. In the world of kart is finding space both in rental and in dedicated championships, increasing its power and battery life more and more.

The Canadian company Daymak, which manufactures more than 50 models of electric vehicles, has moved further by creating a 100% electric kart, in two versions.

Standard Version: Kart pushed by a DC brushless motor that develops 48V / 10KW, with 2400 Watt-hour Lithium Panasonic Cells batteries. With this configuration the kart takes only 4 seconds to reach 60 mph (100 km/h).

Ultimate Version: This is the most powerful edition. It uses a combined technology that join a 48v / 10KW brushless DC motor, eight 120mm EDF 840 kv and four 140mm EDF 720 kv. Performance is really incredible: the kart will reach 0 to 60 mph (0-100 km/h) in less then 1.5 seconds.

Logically, the two models differ not only in the engine but also in the purchase price: the "Standard" version is sold at $ 10,000, while the "Ultimate" model costs $ 60,000, which is justified by performance beyond a Supercar.
