[dropcap]A[/dropcap]CI Sport Italia officially publishes the Sporting Regulations for the 2016 season of the Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth. The most important changes concern the competition format, designed to allow the acceptance of the numerous entries submitted.
Should the number of single-seaters entered exceed the parameters established by the Promoter (WSK) and ACI Sport Italia, the race format may be changed in order to satisfy all the applications. The main changes are described below.
• The drivers are drawn into two qualifying heats, each lasting 20 minutes. The overall standings are determined as follows: pole position goes to the winner of the 1st heat (the fastest time overall); 2nd place to the winner of the 2nd heat; 3rd place to the second fastest time in the 1st heat; 4th place to the second fastest time in the 2nd heat; 5th place to the 3rd fastest time of the 1st heat and so on. In the event of a driver not posting a valid time in the heats, the competitor shall be placed last in the standings; if there is more than one driver without a valid time, their places are decided by a draw.
• At the end of the qualifying heats, the drivers are divided into three groups based on the overall standings. Group A consists of the 1st and 4th placed competitors, etc.; Group B consists of the 2nd and 5th placed competitors, etc.; Group C consists of the 3rd and the 6th placed competitors, etc..
• Each group disputes two qualifying

races, lasting 25 minutes + 1 lap each, according to the following scoreboard. Race 1: Group B versus Group C; Race 2: A versus B; Game 3: A versus C. The following standings will be determined at the end of each race:
a) Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth
b) Team Trophy / Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth
c) Rookie Trophy / Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth
d) Women’s Trophy / Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth.
• Once the qualifying races have finished, the overall standings are drawn up by adding up the points for each driver. The top 36 drivers in the standings (only 32 at Adria) qualify for a 25 minute plus one lap race. This race determines the points for the four standings referred to in points a), b), c) and d), described above
• In the event of a tie between two or more drivers, the placings achieved in the qualifying races are taken into account. If the drivers are still tied, the fastest time achieved in qualifying is taken into account. The positions of the drivers on the starting grid of the race is based on the overall standings obtained by adding all the points scored in the qualifying races
• The points awarded both in the qualifying races and in the final race are as follows: 25 for 1st place; 18 for 2nd, 15 for 3rd, 12 for 4th, 10 for 5th, 8 for 6th, 6 for 7th, 4 for 8th, 2 for 9th and 1 for 10th
