WSK SUPER MASTER SERIES: ENAAM AHMED KFJ CHAMPION
TKART Staff
26 April 2014

HOT NEWS - TKART - WSK SUPER MASTER SERIES - Muro Leccese - In the KFJ the victory of the final also spells out victory in the WSK Super Master Series title hunt. The dominator is Enaam Ahmed (Fa Kart/Vortex). L'inglese, già the WSK Champions Cup winner build this triumph up as early as the prefinal where he wins and climbs up in the point charts considerably compared to where he was when this thrid and final round began.

The Ricky Flynndriver's crescendo peaks with his domination in the final race: he starts and ends in the lead without running too many risk. Behind him James Pull (Tony Kart/Vortex) takes second place, offering one of the nicest surprises of this weekend: the Singapore-born driver was basically an unkown in the rpevious rounds of the series (in terms of tresults in the final races): his 9 point tally going into this round spoke clear. On the La Conca track he seems somebody new: second in the prefinal and second in the race that counts the most. His race podium counts as the crowning of a a top quality improvement. What can we say besides "good job2"? Yet, he's not the only susprirse on the podium of t he La Conca final. The name on the lowest step is also unexpected, not so much for latent talent, but in light of his 26th qualifying time on Friday. We are speaking of Alexander Vartanyan (Tony Kart/Vortex), who did an unfathomable rebound that also placed him 6th in the general standings. We close the "outsider" section with Davide Lombardo (Exprit/Vortex).Last year the Italian was racing in Easykart and is showing to have no trouble he takes another 4th place after the one claimed in 15 days ago in Castelletto di Branduzzo nd most importqntly climbs up to 7th in the final Series standings, truly incredible - especially if we remember that Lombardodid not race the first Sarno round f the WSK Super Master Series

From those on the rise to those on the way down, there is Lombardo's former teammate Mauricio Baiz (LH/TM) who surprised everyone for his team change from RB Technology to the official CRG team. Yet, the change did not bring a great result: the venezuelan arrives in La Conca as provisional series leader, but in Muro Leccese manages to nullify his domination. He is behind all weekend long and in the final he is disqualified for an irregular move. His season has to start all over from here: there is new material to get familiar with and a European Championship coming up. The past needs to be forgotten... and quickly.

Daniel Ticktum (Zanardi/Parilla), instead, kept up hopes of winning the Series until the. Crossing the finish-line of the final 6th, he missed the title by very few points. In the final, inf act, instead of improving on his start position (fourth) he gets stuck in traffic and slips down two spots. If we look at his overall performance over three rounds, however, the Brit has proven to have the speed it takes to compete in satisfctory fashion in the Europeans coming up. Honors also goe to Mick Junior (Tony Kart/Vortex): after the start he slipped down to 24th and he was 18th at the chekcered, but at one point he had made his way up as far as tenth place; most importantly, he clocks out fatser than everyone else, driving the best lap of the final. We suggest adding his name to the list of "ones to watch out for" in the European Championship. Finally, Logan Sargeant (Fa Kart/Vortex) is 7th at the finish: nothing strange, excpet that he started from 23rd, which mean amazing rebound race!
