04 April 2018

Sarno (Salerno, Italy), April 3rd 2018

On track battles and classification strategies heading to the grand Finale of WSK Super Master Series.
The International Circuit Napoli of Sarno (I) is about to stage the crucial moment in the calendar of the 2018 campaign of WSK Super Master Series. The circuit located in Campania has housed round 2 of the Series (above, a shot of the KZ2 starting grid, last Sunday) last weekend and will stage the fourth and closing round of the season from Thursday April 5th to Sunday 8th. Classifications are heading to the sprint to the line and, after the results scored last Sunday, several drivers are now in the fight for the victory. The points up for grabs will get to their maximum in the next round, which adds further unknowns to the mix.

The closer live on wsk.it.
Watching the live streaming feed next Sunday April 8th will be even more interesting than usual, as the forthcoming races will give the final verdicts in the classifications of WSK Super Master Series 2018. Once more, the reference site is the official website wsk.it.

Marco Ardigò, great comeback to KZ2.

Marco Ardigò (above, Tony Kart-Vortex-Bridgestone) gained the lead in KZ2. He had a stylish comeback taking one win and a second place in the Finals held in Sarno and Muro Leccese: in the past couple of weekends, the driver from Brescia had the upper hand and is currently leading the classification at 209 points, while Paolo De Conto (CRG-TM) stands at 132. The absence from the latest round of the latter impacted his classification, but he still is second leading Alex Irlando (Sodi Kart-TM) at 115. The three have swapped positions on top of the charts after every round and now are all set to fight for the final win. They are followed by the Finn Simo Puhakka (Tony Kart-Vortex) and the French Adrien Renaudin (Sodi Kart-TM), that follow respectively at 81 and 78 points.

Nicklas Nielsen climbing to the lead of OK.

Nicklas Nielsen (above, Tony Kart-Vortex-Bridgestone) managed to get virtually a full haul in Sarno, shocking his classification in OK: the Dane was in the lead after qualifying, came second in Prefinal A and won the Final, to take the classification lead at 223 points. The Brit Jonny Edgar (Exprit-TM) also had a good momentum, as he took the victory in Prefinal B and totaled one point more (186 vs 185) than the German Hannes Janker (KR-Parilla), who lost the lead of the charts and slipped down to P3. The victory in Prefinal A scored by Lorenzo Travisanutto (KR-Parilla) promoted him to the fourth place of the classification at 143 points, while the Spanish driver Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG-TM) kept P5 at 130 points despite the second place taken in the Final.

Kirill Smal on the knife’s edge in OK Junior.

The hunt for the win in OK Junior is quite electrifying, as the Russian Kirill Smal (above, Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) is currently leading the pack one point short (212 vs 211) of the Italian Gabriele Minì (Parolin-Parilla), who has been the brilliant winner of the Final last Sunday. The very short classification announces a red-hot fight on top for next weekend. The Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto (CRG-TM) is also among the contenders in third place at 202 points. The French Hadrien David (Kosmic-Vortex), fourth at 142 points despite the unlucky Final in Sarno and the British driver Zak O’Sullivan (FA Kart-Vortex), who chases him 2 points shy but showed a great crescendo lately, are not very far behind either.

Chasing Martinius Stenshorne in 60 Mini.

The sprint to the line in 60 Mini is also quite exciting. The Norwegian driver Martinius Stenshorne (above, Parolin-TM-Vega) is currently leading the classification but has seen his lead on Andrea Antonelli (Energy-TM) reduced. The two are standing respectively at 201 and 193 points and are followed by the Pole Tymoteusz Kucharczyk (Parolin-TM), who closed in thanks to the victory scored in the Final last Sunday. Positions behind them changed too, and currently the Italian Cristian Bertuca (EvoKart-TM) is fourth at 101 points, while the Russian Kirill Kutskov (Energy-TM) is fifth at 99.
