The first Saturday race day of WSK Euro Series set the pole sitters for the Sunday’s prefinals in Naples International Circuit.

KZ2: Lorenzo Camplese keeps the lead

Lorenzo Camplese (Tony Kart/Vortex/Bridg) today managed to keep the pole position during the qualifying heats. The Italian with the victory in heat A-C started so well the day. The SC Performance driver will start from pole position for prefinal A.

Not the same luck was for Francesco Celenta (Praga/TM Racing/Bridg). The official driver for Praga had a contact in heat A-C and then had to retire in heat B-C, together with Bas Lammers (Sodkiart/TM Racing/Bridg).

That heat was won by Anthony Abbasse (Sodikart/TM Racing/Bridg) who will be starting from pole position in prefinal B. The French driver had a good day with the heat victory and the second place in heat B-D.

The other heat victories were for Jorrit Pex (KR/TM Racing/Bridg) in heat B-D and Alex Irlando (BirelArt/TM Racing/Bridg).

OK: The madness continues in Sarno

It was a perfect day for Dilano Van T’Hoff (Exprit/TM Racing/Bridg) under the Forza Racing colors. The Dutch driver won with no difficulties the two manches of today in front of the Italian Luigi Coluccio (BirelArt/TM Racing/Bridg), who finished in both manches in second place.

But the battle was not upfront, the big battles were in the mid-field. After a difficult manche 1, Harry Thompson (FA Kart/Vortex/Bridg) and Dexter Patterson (KR/Iame/Bridg) made an impressive comeback in manche 2 with the Ricky Flynn driver finishing in 8th place and the Sauber driver in 12th position.

Then in manche 3 both Thompson and Patterson completed the comeback finishing in 4th and 5th, just behind an always competitive Dino Beganovic (Tony Kart/Vortex/Bridg). Behind them, a total number of 15 drivers flighted for 7th position. After going off in the second sector, the 2018 WSK Super Master Series champion, Hannes Janker (KR/Iame/Bridg) got the position secured with 3 laps remaining.

After all the manches, Van T’Hoff will be starting from pole position in the prefinal, just ahead of Dino Beganovic and Luigi Coluccio.

OKJ: Bedrin takes pole position after Dunne’s mistake

The day in OK-Junior has been so intense. After winning yesterday’s heat B-D, the new Tony Kart official driver Alex Dunne (Tony Kart/Vortex/Vega) had almost a dream day, wining heats A-B and B-E, but in the B-C, the Irish spun with two laps remaining and lost the pole position.

The pole position then went to his team mate Nikita Bedrin (Tony Kart/Vortex/Vega) who despite only winning heat A-D in front of his team mate Josep Maria Martí (Tony Kart/Vortex/Vega) the Russian was always consistent in the top3 positions.

From consistency, Conrad Laursen (FA Kart/Vortex/Vega) got the pole position for prefinal B. The Danish driver drove all the time in the top 3 and lead the Ricky Flynn squad after the heats, showing that together with the Tony Karts, they are the ones to watch this weekend.

Also, a one to watch is Robert de Haan (Energy/TM Racing/Vega) who won in heat B-C and showed a great consistent pace.

The other heats wins were for Ugo Ugochukwu (FA Kart/Vortex/Vega) in heat D-E and Jamie Day (Exprit/Vortex/Vega) in heat A-C.

MINI: Keanu Al Azhari and Douwe Dedecker on pole for prefinals/h3>

Today Keanu Al Azhari (Parolin/TM Racing/Vega) drove so smoothly wining heats A-B and B-C. A B-C heat that was one of the most “boring race” of the day due to the big time that the slow procedure was on track.

Nothing special from Belgian driver Douwe Dedecker (Parolin/TM Racing/Vega) who was all the time in the top positions despite not wining any heat.

William MacIntyre (Parolin/TM Racing/Vega) won heat D-E, but the Kart Republic driver will not start tomorrow in a good position due to a crash in heat A-D, which was won by Andrea Filaferro (Tony Kart/TM Racing/Vega).

A very entertainment fight in heat A-C with Eenergy drivers Kirill Kustkov (Energy/TM Racing/Vega) and Alex Powell (Energy/TM Racing/Vega). It was the Russian who finally won the heat. Meanwhile in heat B-E, another Russian, Maksimilian Popov (Parolin/TM Racing/Vega) took the victory against Dedecker and Al Azhari.

Tomorrow the prefinals and the finals will give the first points of an era of the WSK Euro Series.
