The X30 Challenge Europa by IAME came to a close in Lavelanet (France)

The  Lavelanet Circuit, in France hosted the second and last round of the X30 Challenge Europa 2012, the new single-engine continentale series (dedicated to owners of Parilla X30 engines) promoted by IAME in collaboration with the Karting Club du Pays d’Olmes-Mirepoix and the sponsorship of KOMET Racing Tyres, Wladoil and Freem. The French round assigned the title in the Junior, Senior, Master and Shifter categories under the rain.

In the Junior category Belgian driver Palmaers is the one who closes 1st in both prefinal (with best lap) and final, but in the end the championship standings see Raspatelli (3rd and 2nd  in the two finals) go home as champion with a 6 point lead. Victory in the Senior final goes to a very fast Fraïsse (author of the best lap in the prefinal),  but the title belongs to Vermeylen (2nd in the final ), who wins by a mere point over Gounon. The Master champion is instead the French driver Allemand, who in Lavelanet closes 2nd in both finals, behind Duprat and Montandraud respectively.  Finally, the Shifter category crowns Delre: just 2 points over Paul and Moris. The latter is the winner of the French final.

The next date to save for all fans of the X30 world is October 19-21 in Lyon (France) for the 2012 IAME International Final.
