One of the most important decisions taken during the meeting that CIK-FIA held in Paris on February 8th was to anticipate to September 2nd the KZ1 and KZ2 World Cups and round 4 of the KF1 World Championship, initially scheduled for September 9th. There’s no variation as far location, which remains the Napoli International Circuit, in Sarno (Italy).
The reason for the decision was to avoid “overlaps” with the Formula 1 Grand Prize also scheduled that weekend in Italy. A solution has thus been found to the coincidence between two very important international motorsports events.
Speaking of the World Championship in KF1, registration kicks off on Monday February 13th at 10:00 am (Paris time), for a maximum of 34 entries. Registration will then be re-opened for licensed drivers of the Asian-Pacific area on occasion of the events in Suzuka (JPN) and Macau (MAC).
