MARANELLO KART PUT IN A GREAT SHOW AT THE ANDREA MARGUTTI TROPHY. STRONG PODIUM FOR DANTE
TKART Staff
01 April 2015

PRESS RELEASE - TKART -
Maranello Kart racing team has been protagonist at the 26th Andrea Margutti trophy. Massimo Dante took the second place. Great performance also for Bernardotto and Mosca. Giannoni stopped by an incident instead.

Maranello Kart put in a great show at the 26th Andrea Margutti Trophy, as the drivers of the Racing Team led by Stefano Griggio were under the spotlight for the whole weekend at the South Garda Karting of Lonato with a series of top class performances.

The first international event part of the CIK-FIA calendar, race organized by Parma Karting in the memory of the young Andrea Margutti passed away in 1989, made Massimo Dante stand out, after the victory he claimed at the Spring Trophy in Lonato. He took in fact the podium with a spectacular run to the second place. All the other drivers of the Racing Team have been very competitive too, highlighting once more the technical quality of the new Maranello chassis.

Massimo Dante, on Maranello-Tm, was sixth in qualifying and fourth in the heats. He has then been superb in Prefinal, where he managed to get the lead of the race for a while taking his two main rivals, Davide Forè on CRG and the German Alexander Schmitz on Tony Kart, ending eventually third ahead of team mate Enrico Bernardotto, on Maranello-Modena.

Great sixth place in the Prefinal also for the young Tommaso Mosca, on Maranello-Tm. Mosca had been under the spotlight since qualifying where he turned out to be the quickest of his group and second quickest absolute, falling only 59 thousands short of the pole position.

In the Final, Dante and his very quick Maranello-Tm have been again protagonists of the event, fighting equal with Forè and Schmitz. He eventually clinched a truly deserved second place after taking Schmitz and being the quickest of the three for several laps, even though he did not have the chance to get Forè who managed to remain a few meters clear of him.

Great run also for Enrico Bernardotto who was fifth in the Final, while Tommaso Mosca had to settle for 14th after finding his place in the leading group. Behind him, Patrick Di Giuseppe on Maranello-Tm run by Team Gerber, who managed to get through the second chance race.

The other quick Maranello Kart driver Lorenzo Giannoni has been hit by bad luck instead, as he was forced out of the Final due to an incident he was flawlessly involved in the Prefinal, when holding P9. That was a pity as the young Giannoni, after being 14th absolute in qualifying and sixth after the heats, could have certainly been among the protagonists of the final stages.

Among Maranello Kart's drivers, after a good 11th place in his qualifying group, Simone Palazzetti just missed out on gaining access to the Final in the second chance race that he was forced to run due to a retirement in one of the heats.
