With the las vegas Supernats around the corner Koene usa readies for 2018 racing season

September 26, 2017 - With the close of the 2017 karting season just around the corner, Koene USA is already preparing 2018. With goals to compete at both the national and regional level of karting in the United States, Koene USA will be trackside providing race team services and OTK product sales at the Florida Winter Tour (FWT), SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) Winter Tour and Pro Tour as well as the newly announced ROK Fest (ROK). Koene USA will also have a presence at World Karting Association (WKA) Manufacturers Cup, Route 66 Sprint Series and the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) in 2018.

"There have been some structural changes in the landscape," explained Martijn Koene. "The industry has thrown a curve ball at a lot of programs throughout the past two seasons. With the dilution of Rotax and the growth of ROK and IAME, there are now two engine makes to focus on in the United States currently making it a lot easier for competitors and teams to make proper choices."

With plans to focus on the major national series in 2018, Koene USA will, as a first, also compete at the regional programs in the upcoming season including Route 66 Sprint Series, WKA Manufacturers Cup and the USPKS program

"I have been attending some of the regional programs on my own in 2017 and have been able to help a lot of up and coming drivers," explained Adam Johnson, long-time karting tuner and Koene USA employee. "The regional level is much more low key so we are able to spend more time with drivers, data, coaching and one-on-one to improve a driver's skill set. By attending these races, we have gained several customers and are looking to help promote these drivers to the national level if that is the path that they choose or continue to support them on their regional program. We want to help them succeed wherever possible."

Johnson continued, "I am looking forward to continue working with Koene USA and Martijn Koene attending all national level events as well as Andrew Burton who will be with the team at all events in 2018. I think we have a solid base to continue to build from as well as some different programs in 2018."

Koene USA will continue to offer their professional national level team program, arrive and drive options, as well as different a la carte programs whether it be at national level events or club level programs as well as driver coaching or mechanic services.
