The 276 drivers who will battle in the 2012 Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals have already stepped on track at the Kartodromo do Algarve in Portimao (Portugal). The international final of the single-brand series that runs with Rotax engines will see the best Rotax drivers of the world battle it out in the series four categories: 125 Max Junior, 125 Max Senior, 125 Max DD2, and 125 Max DD2 Master.

The engine (Rotax) is identical for everyone, as are tires (Mojo), but chassis? As far as frames for the Grand Finals, Rotax organizers have made an agreement with 4 major kart manufacturers. Each company is partnering sponsor for one category: Birel will provide karts for the Max Junior, Sodi Kart for the Max Senior, Mach 1 for the DD2 shifter and Haase for the DD2 Masters.
