  • Until just over a month ago, he wasn’t even slated to take part in the European Championship. After today's final instead, Marijn Kremers (Birel ART Racing - Ricciardo Kart - TM Racing) returns from Genk as the new FIA Karting European Champion. A title won thanks to the consistency of his results, the same that allowed him to get pole position at the end of yesterday's Heats while his direct opponents struggled in the mid-pack.

  • The second place scored in the final by the Dutchman behind an excellent Stan Pex (KR Motorsport - KR - TM Racing), thus proved to be enough to clinch the title. Kremers led the race for four laps before Pex successfully attacked him at the first corner after the finish line. From that moment on, the reigning World Champion was able to manage his race because, behind him, the contenders for the title were far.

  • In fact, the third place went to Jorrit Pex (KR Motorsport - KR - TM Racing),  who nailed an excellent getaway from the sixth box, while Noah Milell (Tony Kart Racing Team - Tony Kart - Vortex) took fourth just in ahead of Alessandro Irlando (Birel ART Racing - Birel ART - TM Racing). The Italian, leader of the standings until before the final and who went on the grass at the start, lost the championship lead by just two points when crossing the finish line. The penalty imposed on him for the front fairing out of position after the post-race checks, which put him down  to tenth position, will therefore not change anything as for the general classification.

  • In fifth place we find Adrien Renaudin (Sodikart - Sodi - TM Racing), who fought for third place in the first laps, preceding his teammate Bas Lammers (Sodikart - Sodi - TM Racing).

  • Just behind them, Riccardo Longhi (Birel ART Racing - Birel ART - TM Racing) crossed the finish line in seventh position ahead of Fabian Federer (SRP Racing Team - Maranello TM Racing) and a struggling Simo Puhakka (Tony Kart Racing Team - Tony Kart - Vortex): the Finn never really got in the game here in Genk and, as a consequence of Marijn Kremers' excellent weekend, he also lost a position in the championship finishing third.

  • Two DNFs at the end of the race: Luis Speck (TB Kart - TB Kart - TM Racing) and, once again, Matteo Viganò (Leclerc By Lennox Racing - Birel ART - TM Racing), who completed just six laps.
