27 September 2014

HOT NEWS - TKART  - After winning Race 1, Drudi (Adria Raceway by Malta) goes on to  dominate also Race 2, getting past unscathed from the flurry of contacts and accidents that took out 6 rivals at the go.

Despite starting from P10 on grid, since race 2 inverts the top 10 postitions of race 1, the Italian steers clear of chaos in lap one and catches up immediately to the Euronova Racing duo of Sennan Fielding and Andrea Fontana, who are up front.

Mattia "drags along" Lance Stroll (Prema Power Team) all race long. The Canadian never manages to get past the Italian and at the end of the race takes the 2nd place result towards the F4 championship standings.

Alain Valente (Jenzer Motrsport) rounds off the podium, after fending off attacks from hard-charging Robert Shwartzman (Cram Motorsport). The Russian had started from the rear, paying for yesterday's withdrawal, but worked his way up one lap after the other, getting past Indian rival Mahaveer Raghunathan (F&M) and his immediate followers, Joao Vieira (Antonelli Motorsport) and Edi Haxhiu (Cram Competion). Too bad for Andrea Fontana, instead, who had to withdraw while competing fior a podium finish.

The Italian is not the only one who ends Race 2 before the checkered flag, however. Actually, in fact, as many as six drivers were "game over" by the end of lap 1, including victory candidates Brandon Maisano (Prema Power Team) and Andrea Russo (Antonelli Motorsort) and top player Leonardo Pulcini (DAV Racing ), who was sent out by a contact after  his second, phenonemenal, first-lap rise of the weekend.
