BIREL NOVELTIES
TKART Staff
05 November 2013

As previewed over the past few weeks, Birel has put together an important package of technical and esthetic innovations for 2014.

Featuring several structural evolutions, the last generation Birel frames have been developed to be better performing and easier to drive. In particular, production for shifter classes has been differentiated from that for non-shifter classes, both in terms of geometry and in terms of accessory components. The CRY 30-S6 is the new model intended specifically for gear driving: it has an excellent rear grip, all the while guaranteeing fluid movements and high performance. In addition, the frame’s breaking and traction features may be further enhanced thanks to the new bearing support, which allows to lower the frame by 8 millimeters.
The RY 32-S6, instead, is the model developed with non-shift classes in mind: the goal was to create a “free” kart that could guarantee enhanced performance with medium-hard mesh tires.
Three other models complete the new range of Birel frames: the RY 30-S6, evolved to allow for easier set-up and for versatile adaptation to any kind of tire; the CRY 32-S6, structured to boost braking and traction with medium-hard tires; and the C28-R Minikart, featuring new geometric solutions and innovative materials.
Birel’s renovated product offer for 2014 also extend to kart components: the spindle pin,  configured so it can be positioned to yield different steering angles; aluminum rear hubs with a heavy-duty length of 90 mm, which will be a stock feature on all karts (they may be replaced with magnesium optionals); new functional and easy to use eccentrics; and sturdier carrier flanges that enhance the vehicle’s lateral hold.
Birel has also unveiled a brand new clutch lever, “Direct” : it works by a cutting-edge swivel system that allows to shift more quickly and precisely.
Last, but not least, Birel karts will also come with a new pre-shaped foot rest made of anodized aluminum and characterized by a gold hue.
