Dutch driver Bas Lammers has been unbeatable in the 2019 WSK Super Master Series edition in the KZ2 class. The Sodikart driver won once again in the final to take the 2019 title in the Circuito internazionale di Napoli (Sarno). Ardigò and Viganò completed the podium as Renaudin finished as the runner-up of the championship.

Early this morning, Marco Ardigò (Tony Kart/Vortex/Bridg) started very strong the day wining prefinal A despite the big pressure from Lorenzo Camplese (Tony Kart/Vortex/Bridg) and Paolo De Conto (CRG/TM Racing/Bridg). Meanwhile, title contenders Adrien Renaudin (Sodikart/TM Racing/Bridg) and Marjin Kremers (Birel ART/TM Racing/Bridg) finished just behind in fourth and fifth place, respectively.

That wasn’t much helpful for their title chances as Bas Lammers (Sodikart/TM Racing/Bridg) imposed his pace in prefinal B, taking very important points for the title fight.

In the final, Marco Ardigò was who started on pole position, the Italian kept the lead but not for a very long period as he was overtaken by Bas Lammers in the third lap of the race.

Immediately, the Dutch driver pulled away from the Italian who despite the efforts was not able to maintain the pace of the Sodi driver.

Ardigò had to defend from his teammate in Tony Kart Racing Team, Matteo Viganò (Tony Kart/Vortex/Bridg) who was running third after a great start from 6th position.

As Viganò could not overtake Ardigò, Adrien Renaudin took advantage of this situation and cut the gap of almost two seconds with Viganò to battle for the third place. The Italian had to defend hard during the last lap to keep third place as Renaudin tried everything and almost get the position in a photo-finish final, in witch both drivers were only separated by 0.048 seconds.

But with no rival in terms of race pace, Bas Lammers smashed once again to take the race victory and also the 2019 WSK Super Master Series Championship, replacing Marco Ardigò (last year champion) in the Hall of Fame of WSK history.

Renaudin with the fourth place secured himself as the runner-up of the championship, finishing in front of Marco Ardigò who finished third in the championship despite the fact that he has only competed in one of the two rounds of the calendar.

The WSK races does not stop, and next weekend the WSK Euroseries is back for his first race of the season that will take place at the Circuito Internazionale di Napoli.
