WSK Super Master Series resumes from La Conca.

As spring is kicking in, teams and drivers have been busy in Muro Leccese (I) this weekend for the pre-race tests of WSK Super Master Series (in the photos below). This is in fact going to be the venue of the third round of the series next weekend. The La Conca World Circuit will stage the International series – that has started scoring very good participation figures, from March 15th to 18 after the forced suspension of one week ago due to the exceptional snow fallen on the circuit of Lonato. The classification fights have therefore been postponed after the kick off to the season held at the circuit in Adria (I), and will resume next weekend with the second of the four rounds of the WSK Super Master Series: the replay of the race of Lonato will in fact take place on April 1st at the International Circuit Napoli in Sarno (Salerno, Italy). The weekend of Muro Leccese will therefore be the first chance to bounce back following the results of the opener that shaped up the initial classifications of the four categories on track: OK, OK Junior, KZ and 60 Mini.

The classification fights at La Conca.

Class OK is currently led by the German Hannes Janker (KR-Parilla-Bridgestone) who has 89 points under his belt and proceeds the Italian Lorenzo Travisanutto (KR-Parilla) at 60 points and the Spanish David Vidales (Tony Kart-Vortex), who is third at 45. KZ2 classification leader Alex Irlando will be the home hero as he is from Locorotondo (BA). Irlando is leading the pack at 77 points, while the French Adrien Renaudin (both on Sodi Kart-TM-Bridgestone) follows at 59 points. The third place of the standings is currently occupied by the Italian Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart-Vortex) who scored 47 points. The Russian Kirill Smal (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) leads Gabriele Minì (Parolin-Parilla) in OK Junior. Following an hard-fought opener in Adria, the two are currently standing at 87 and 60 points, and lead the Estonian Paul Aron (FA Kart-Vortex), who is third at 38 points. The Norwegian Martinius Stenshorne (Parolin-TM-Vega) is leading 60 Mini at 80 points. Behind him, the Pole Tymoteusz Kucharczyk (Parolin-TM) hauled 48 points so far, while the Italian Francesco Pulito (IP Karting-TM) is third at 42. Further movements in the classifications will be favoured in La Conca by the WSK increasing point scoring scheme.
