Saturday was race day at Campillos: The qualifying heats for the ROTAX Winter Cup on the Spanish karting track determined the final starting grid for tomorrow's final races of MAX Junior, MAX Senior and MAX DD2 category. Facing best weather conditions, about 100 drivers had to go for nine heats all told.

The countdown for the traditional ROTAX Winter Cup, starting on 6th to 10th of February, has just begun. For the fourth time this prestigious karting event will welcome the international ROTAX scene on the Spanish karting track at Campillos near Malaga.

The ‘Can-Am’ name is a popular one in the world of motorsports, putting together some of the most talented drivers at tracks in Canada and the United States. Now, that same philosophy is being put in place for Rotax Max Challenge drivers in the Pacific Northwest area. New for 2013 is the Can-Am Rotax Max Challenge. Dedicated to Canadian and American ‘Rotaxians’, the new race series will fill a void for those racers looking for major events to compete in during the summer months of the 2013 season.

The second round of the 2013 Rotax Pro Tour has ended with clean sweeps, back to back winners, battles of attrition and some of the most intriguing racing ever seen at a Pro Tour event, the largest ever attended round in the series’ history has kicked off what will be the biggest year in Rotax racing in Australia.
