dans le monde sur un matériel monotype grâce à tous les circuits partenaires de l’opération. Les meilleurs se sont retrouvés sur le site du RKC, qui a proposé une organisation à la hauteur de l’évènement sous un grand soleil. Pour ne pas avantager les pilotes
locaux, les courses ont été disputées dans le sens inverse, la piste étant homologuée dans les deux sens. Les karts étaient lestés selon chaque pilote pour que tous soient à égalité sur le plan du poids. Autre nouveauté 2011, le monde de l’endurance a
rejoint la Finale Mondiale SWS avec 22 équipages de 2 ou 3 pilotes pour suivre une pratique de plus en plus répandue. Le mélange des courses de sprint et d’endurance a ainsi enrichi la Finale d’une convivialité encore plus grande en animant les stands au gré des changements
de pilotes.Plaisir de courir avant tout, en SWS, sourire et fair-play sont les mots-clés, côté organisateurs et côté participants. La formule a montré encore
une fois sa valeur avec un matériel extrêmement
performant et 100% fiable dans une ambiance chaleureuse comme en témoignent les nombreux messages d’encouragements et de remerciements qui se sont succédés sur le blog de la finale SWS fréquenté par plus de 6000 visiteurs uniques en 4 jours. La Finale 2011 a rassemblé
plus de 120 pilotes de 10 nationalités différentes avec une mention spéciale pour l’Allemagne en endurance avec les 5 équipages d’AVD Kart Challenge.F
Après avoir connu la domination des Belges de Pro Photos Sport.com en course 1, l’Endurance, disputée sur des Sodi RX7 390cc, voyait l’équipe CER Karting reprendre l’avantage dans la course 2 dotée d’un coefficient de 1,5 et remporter le classement général d’un demi-point devant Pro Photos Sport.com tandis que les expérimentés
pilotes de Dubaï, l’équipe Batelco, montaient sur la 3ème marche du podium.Sur une flotte de 35 Sodi RX 250 flambant neufs développant 22 cv, les concurrents Sprint ont dû d’abord franchir différentes étapes de qualification. Le Belge Davy Delien remportait la finale 1 devant les Français Goulven Bozec et Vincent Guiho, tandis que le Britannique
Darryl Evans était privé de victoire à cause d’une pénalité
« technique » de 10’’. Bozec s’imposait ensuite dans la finale 2, dotée d’un coefficient de 1,25, face au Finlan dais Mika Helen et au Belge Kevin Caprasse. Celui-ci terminait en tête de la dernière finale (coefficient 1,5) devant Helen et le Français Julien Azzopardi bien remonté. Au cumul des points, c’est Goulven Bozec, pilote GP Circuit, qui était récompensé en grand vainqueur de la Finale SWS 2011 devant Kevin Caprasse et Mika Helen.Tous les participants et accompagnateurs se sont ensuite rendus
à Disneyland Paris pour la remise des prix lors d’un dîner au célèbre restaurant Planet’Hollywood dans une ambiance survoltée avant de profiter d’un accès libre à Disney Village, avec déjà l’envie de se retrouver en 2012… les SWS, acte 2 confirmant ainsi l’immense intérêt de cette formule
unique au Monde et qui rassemble chaque jour un peu plus de circuits et pilotes aux quatre coins de la planète !

drivers gathered, on a very sunny day, at the RKC site, whose organisation was equal to the event. In order not to favour local drivers, races were held in the opposite direction, since the track is homologated for both directions. Karts were ballasted according to each driver’s weight, so that everyone had the same weight. Another innovation for 2011 was the admission of Endurance, which is becoming an increasingly popular discipline, to the SWS grand final, with 22 crews composed of 2 or 3 drivers. The mix of sprint and endurance
races created an even more exciting atmosphere and animated
the stands with the rotation of drivers.The buzz words in SWS were first of all fun, smiles and fair play, both for the organisers and the participants. This formula showed again its value with high-

After the Belgian domination by Pro Photos Sport.com in Race 1, Endurance
- with Sodi RX7 390cc -, the CER Karting team regained the lead in Race 2, which had a 1.5 coefficient, and won the general classification
by half a point, preceding Pro Photos Sport.com, while the experienced drivers from Dubaï, the Batelco team, climbed on the third step of the podium.On a fleet of 35 brand new Sodi RX 250s with 22 HPs, the Sprint drivers
had first to go through a series of qualifying stages. Belgian Davy Delien won Final 1 followed by French Goulven Bozec and Vincent Guiho, while British Darryl Evans was deprived of victory after a «technical
» penalty of 10’’. Bozec won Final 2, which had a 1.25 coefficient
preceding Finnish Mika Helen and Belgian Kevin Caprasse. Caprasse concluded at the lead of the last final (1.5 coefficient) preceding Helen and French driver Julien Azzopardi who staged a superb recovery.
After summing all the points, it was Goulven Bozec, a GP Circuit
driver, who was crowned grand winner of the SWS Final 2011, followed by Kevin Caprasse and Mika Helen.Afterwards, all the participants and the people who accompanied them moved to Disneyland Paris for the prize giving ceremony during
a dinner at famous Planet Hollywood, before taking advantage of their free access to the Disney Village, and were already looking forward to their return in 2012… Therefore the second act of the SWS event has confirmed the huge appeal of this formula - unique
in the world - that attracts each day new circuits and drivers in the four corners of the world!
