J3 Competition FWT – Ocala Preview

After a great start to the 2011 FWT, J3 Competition Race Department will round out the prestigious series at the final round in Ocala, Florida. Entering a total of ten official drivers, J3 Competition is in full contention for the MicroMax and MiniMax championship with Rasmus Lindh and Patricio O’Ward. The rest of the team will join the champion contenders with ample momentum as they look to capture some solid results.

Young Rasmus Lindh from Sweden will take to the MicroMax field of 34 with a lead in the championship chase and will need to secure another great weekend to take home the prestigious prize.  In MiniMax, O’Ward’s position looks good as he sits in second place in the championship in direct striking distance to take crown come Sunday in Ocala.  Joining O’Ward in MiniMax will be teammate Juan Manual Correa who will be working with driving coach Jay Howard as he looks to get back on the board in Rotax competition at Ocala.

The core of J3 Competition in Ocala will be represented in the Rotax Senior category with a total of five drivers including; Tristan DeGrand, Kara Guenette, Alessandra Madrigal, Nicolas Morales, and Andrew Palmer.  This group of driver’s have shown measurable speed especially in Palm Beach where Palmer, DeGrand, and Morales topped the time charts when it mattered with Palmer taking a podium finish on Saturday’s event in Palm Beach.

The final duo of drivers in Ocala for J3 Competition is Rotax Junior driver’s Alex Guenette and Gustavo Lima.  Guenette who posted times in the top five all week in Palm Beach will look to improve upon his ‘luck’ with a solid result.  Lima has also shown good speed in the FWT and can secure a top five position in the championship with similar results to his efforts in Palm Beach.

“We have two serious championships on the line (Micro and Mini) in Ocala and our team has taken the necessary steps to position ourselves for these” commented Team Manager. “As the season keeps progressing, the framework and structure of our Race Department is working very efficient and we are looking to an exciting end to the 2011 FWT.”
