Nella prova d’apertura della stagione internazionale, la Winter Cup di Lonato, Tony Kart-Vortex dominano nella classe regina, la KZ2, con il ceco Patrick Hajek (del team partner Orion).

I nostri piloti ufficiali Dreezen ed Ardigò completano il podio di una finalissima dominata in lungo ed in largo dai Racer EVR spinti dai formidabili RVXX.
La Winter Cup si è rivelata un successo sia sotto il profilo organizzati che sotto il profilo sportivo e ha offerto gare dall’alto contenuto tecnico-agonistico. Le case hanno avuto il modo di confrontarsi per la prima volta dopo la pausa invernale ed il nostro Racing Team ha fatto debuttare, con positivi riscontri, i due nuovi piloti che difenderanno i colori Tony Kart in KF2,Christian Sorensen e Damiano Fioravanti.
La manifestazione si è svolta con due differenti situazioni, la pista asciutta delle qualifiche e delle manche ed il bagnato della domenica che ha caratterizzato pre finali e finali.
In KZ2 i nostri piloti si sono inseriti subito nella lotta al vertice e Dreezen, al termine delle manche, ha guadagnato la settima posizione in griglia. Ardigò è rimasto vittima di un duro contatto nella partenza dell’ultima manche, riportando danni tali da non poter più proseguire.
In pre finale si è verificata una situazione di incertezza, causata dalla sottile pioggia caduta in quel frangente. Alcuni piloti hanno montato così gomme rain ed altri hanno osato la carta delle slick, tra i nostri portacolori Dreezen ha optato per la seconda opportunità, le gomme slick. Stessa scelta l’ha fatta Patrick Hajek, pilota del nostro team partner Orion Racing Team.
Dopo alcune tornate in cui l’asfalto ha favorito i piloti con gomme rain sono risaliti con veemenza Dreezen ed Hajek. Dreezen ha lottato con De Conto per il successo nella manche e, dopo alcune fasi di bagarre, ha preferito non prendere inutili rischi in vista della finalissima, accontentandosi del secondo posto.
Gli altri nostri piloti, Ardigò, Catt e Piccini, con l’asciugarsi della pista, sono retrocessi alle spalle di coloro che montavano gomme da asciutto.
La finale si è corsa con la pista completamente bagnata, con gomme rain, e sin dal verde i nostri piloti sono balzati in testa con Hajek che ha preso un ampio margine in pochi giri ed ha portato a termine la finale con apparente tranquillità, assistito da un mezzo perfetto.
Dreezen ed Ardigò si sono scambiati le posizioni del podio in due occasioni, sino al diciannovesimo giro, quando Dreezen è passato secondo ed ha mantenuto la posizione rispetto al compagno di squdra.
Va sottolineato come i nostri tre piloti, Hajek, Dreezen ed Ardigò abbiano impresso alla gara un ritmo elevatissimo, al punto che buona parte degli altri conduttori è stato doppiato ed al traguardo sono giunti soltanto in 13 a pieni giri.
In KF2 i nostri due nuovi piloti Sorensen e Fioravanti, se pur sfortunati in pre finale e finale, hanno mostrato di essersi ben adattati al materiale tecnico e di aver trovato un certo feeling con tutto il nostro Racing Team.
Non va dimenticato che con la pista asciutta, nelle manche, sia Sorensen che Firovanti sono stati costantemente tra i migliori, al punto che il nostro pilota danese ha colto ben due vittorie parziali.
In finale entrambi i nostri piloti sono stati coinvolti in incidenti ed hanno così abbandonato ogni possibilità di lottare per il podio.

Triple win for Tony Kart-Vortex in KZ2 category on the occasion of the Winter Cup. Hajek is the winner.
On the occasion of the Winter Cup event held in Lonato, the opening event of this International season, Tony Kart-Vortex has been the leader of the master class, KZ2, with the Czech Patrick Hajek (member of our partner-team Orion).
Our official drivers, Dreezen and Ardigò, completed the podium of the very final, where the Racer EVRR were far and wide the protagonists, powered by the excellent RVXX.
Winter Cup proved to be a success in terms of sporting event and management, giving the opportunity to compete in a higly technical and competitive environment. By this event manufacturers have had their first match after the winter break and our Racing Team introduced, with a positive feedback, the two new drivers keeping up Tony Kart colors in KF2 category, Christian Sorensen and Damiano Fioravanti.
During this event drivers had to face two different situations, a dry track during the qualifying rounds and heats and a wet track on Sunday, for the pre-final and the final.
In KZ2 category our drivers soon began the fight to the podium and Dreezen, at the end of the round, gained the seventh position on the starting grid. At the beginning of the last round, Ardigò was hardly damaged while involved in a collision which had prevented him to go on.
Uncertainties were felt during the pre-final, due to a light rain. Some drivers used rain tyres, some others slick ones, and amongst our team’s drivers, Dreezen, chose for the second option, mounting slick tyres. Patrick Hajek, too, which is a member of our partner-team Orion, made the same choice.
After some rounds with an asphalt good for drivers using rain tyres, Dreezen and Hajek finally succeeded. The first had to face De Conto in order to gain the manche and, after a hard struggle, he then decided not to take any risk in sight of the very final, content with a second position.
The other two drivers of ours, Ardigò, Catt and Piccini, as soon as the track got dry, came behind those who had dry tyres.
The final was featured by a completely wet track, with rain tyres, and our drivers, as soon as the traffic light’s green colour was on, jumped forward with Hajek gaining a wide margin in a few rounds and afterwards going straight to the end, with an apparent calm, supported by a perfect chassis.
Dreezen and Ardigò exchanged the position on the podium twice, until the nineteenth round, when Dreezen came second and preserved this position, as opposed to his teammate.
It has to be underlined that our three drivers, Hajek, Dreezen and Ardigò, had a very high racing time, at the point that most of other drivers were lapped, actually 13 drivers only crossed the line at full-time.
In KF2 category, our new drivers Sorensen and Fioravanti, even though not lucky during the pre-final and the final, proved to well adapt to technical material and to establish a good feeling with all our Racing Team.
To be reminded is also that even with a dry track, during the heats, both Sorensen and Fioravanti were constantly amongst the best drivers, at the point that our Danish driver got not less than two partial victories.
In the final both drivers were involved in a few collisions losing any chance to fight for the podium.
