The KZ1 & KZ2 CIK-FIA European Championship and the I round of CIK-FIA KF2 European Championship are raced on the Wackersdorf (Germany) International Circuit. One victory, one podium and an almost podium in KZ1 for the IAME drivers.
KZ1
Three IAME drivers in KZ1. The best among all is Bas Lammers (Praga/Parilla). 7th after the qualifying heats. In the pre final the rain plays a relevant role but beside this, the Dutchman driver is 4th and he confirms his great performance also in the Final on a drying track, placing his kart at only 0,10 far from a deserved podium. Great performance for Cesetti (Top Kart/Parilla), in both wet and dry conditions he is extremely constant, 13th in the pre final and 11th in the final. Toman (Praga/Parilla), at his first experiences in the shifter category and after some difficult heats, recovers very well in the pre final (19th) and in 12th in the final (but then he is unfortunately disqualified).
KZ2
Janous and Da Silva (both Praga/Parilla) do a very good job in the heats but are then unlucky in the final phase: the first one is forced to leave the final after being 17th in the pre final. Da Silva instead wins one heat (scoring also the best lap) and in the final recovers till the 17th place, again with the best lap.
KF2 - round 1
Leclerc and Barnicoat (both ArtGP/Parilla) are the absolute protagonists of the class: Leclerc wins Race 1 under the rain, after winning two heats and scoring three times the best lap, in Race 2 he scores again the best lap, but finishes “only” 8th due to many contacts that forced him to recover from the bottom of the grid. Barnicoat scores twice the best lap in the heats and is 5th in Race 1; his masterpiece comes then
in Race 2 where he conquers a fantastic 2nd place. In the overall standings, Leclerc is 2nd and Barnicoat 3rd, waiting for the decisive round due for July 22nd in Brandon (UK). Highlights also for Graham (Zanardi/Parilla), 10th in Race 1 but then forced to leave Race 2, Lavelli (Top Kart/Parilla) author of a best lap in the heats and then 12th both in Race 1 and in Race 2 and the duo Dabski (Praga/Parilla) - Guazzaroni (Top Kart/Parilla), authors of splendid recoveries on the dry track of Race 2: the Czechoslovakian driver from the 20th position to the 9th and the Italian from down the 31st place, back to the 10th.

IAME AU CHAMPIONNAT D’EUROPE CIK-FIA: UNE VICTOIRE, UN PODIUM ET...
Les championnats d’Europe CIK-FIA KZ1 et KZ2, ainsi que la première épreuve du Championnat d’Europe KF2 se disputent sur le circuit de Wackersdorf (Allemagne). Pour les pilotes motorisés IAME, une victoire, un podium et un quasi podium en KZ1.
KZ1
Trois pilotes IAME présents en KZ1. Le meilleur d’entre eux est Bas Lammers (Praga/Parilla). Au terme des manches il est 7ème au classement absolu. La pré-finale est dominée par la pluie, mais malgré celle-ci, le pilote hollandais termine 4ème, tandis qu’en finale sur une piste en train de sécher, Lammers consolide sa 4 ème place à trois dixièmes seulement d’un podium qu’il aurait bien mérité. Excellente épreuve pour Cesetti (Top Kart/ Parilla) qui fait preuve d’une grande régularité par tous les
temps, terminant la pré-finale à la 13ème place et 11ème la finale. Toman (Praga/Parilla), fait ses débuts sur un kart avec changement de vitesse, après des manches difficiles il remonte de façon spectaculaire en pré-finale (19ème) et en finale (12ème, mais hélas il est disqualifié).
KZ2
Janous et Da Silva (tous deux sur Praga/Parilla) font de bonnes manches mais sont pousuivis par la malchance lors des finales: le premier, en effet, est contraint à se retirer en finale après la 17ème place en pré-finale. Da Silva lui, par contre, gagne une manche (et le meilleur tour) et à la finale il remonte à la 17ème place, s’adjugeant là aussi , le meilleur chrono absolu.
KF2 - round 1
Leclerc et Barnicoat (tous deux sur ArtGP/Parilla) sont les protagonistes absolus de la catégorie: le premier remporte la Gourse 1 sous la pluie, après avoir gagné deux manches avec 3 meilleurs chronos à l’actif; en Course 2 encore un meilleur chrono, mais il “ne termine que 8ème” à cause des nombreux accrochages qui l’obligent à se lancer à la poursuite et remonter. Barnicoat lui , remporte bien deux meilleurs chronos lors des manches et en Course 1 il termine à la 5ème place; mais en
course 2, il accomplit son plus grand chef-d’oeuvre lorsque, au dernier virage, il décroche une grande 2ème place. Actuellement au classement général Leclerc est 2ème et Barnicoat 3ème dans l’attente de l’épreuve décisive de Brandon (Angleterre) le 22
juillet prochain. A remarquer aussi Graham (Zanardi/Parilla), 10ème en Course 1, et contraint à l’abandon en Course 2, Lavelli (Top Kart/Parilla) auteur d’un meilleur tour au cours des manches et 12ème tant en Course 1 qu’en Course 2 et le duo Dabski (Praga/Parilla) - Guazzaroni (Top Kart/Parilla) auteurs de splendides remontées, sur la piste sèche, en Course 2: le tchèque était 20ème et va se placer 9ème , tandis que l’italien remonte de la 31ème place à la 10ème.

Si corrono sul circuito di Wackersdorf (Germania), gli Europei CIK-FIA KZ1 e KZ2 e il primo round dell’Europeo KF2. Per i piloti motorizzati IAME, una vittoria, un podio e un podio sfiorato in KZ1.
KZ1
Tre i piloti IAME presenti nella KZ1. Il migliore di tutti è Bas Lammers (Praga/Parilla). Dopo le manche è 7° assoluto. In prefinale è protagonista la pioggia, ma nonostante questo, il pilota olandese chiude 4°, mentre in finale la pista si asciuga e Lammers conferma il 4° posto a soli tre decimi da un meritato podio. Ottima prova per Cesetti (Top Kart/Parilla) che in entrambe le condizioni climatiche mostra grande costanza, chiudendo 13° la prefinale e 11° la finale. Toman (Praga/ Parilla), alle prime gare con i kart con cambio di velocità, dopo delle manche difficili risale alla grande in prefinale (19°) e in finale (12°, salvo poi essere squalificato).
KZ2
Janous e Da Silva (entrambi Praga/Parilla) sono bravi nelle manche e sfortunati nelle finali: il primo, infatti, è costretto a lasciare la finale dopo il 17° posto della pre finale. Da Silva, invece, vince una manche (facendo segnare anche il miglior
giro) e in finale risale fino al 17° posto staccando, anche in questa occasione, il miglior crono assoluto.
KF2 - round 1
Leclerc e Barnicoat (entrambi ArtGP/Parilla) sono gli assoluti protagonisti della categoria: il primo vince Gara 1 sotto la pioggia, dopo aver vinto due manche con tre miglior giri all’attivo; in Gara 2 è ancora suo il miglior crono, ma chiude “solo” 8° a causa dei tanti contatti che lo costringono a rimontare. Barnicoat di miglior giri nelle manche ne fa segnare due e in Gara 1 chiude al 5° posto; ma il suo capolavoro lo
fa in gara 2 quando, all’ultima curva, conquista un grande 2° posto. Ora in classifica generale Leclerc è 2° e Barnicoat 3° in attesa della decisiva prova di Brandon (Inghilterra) il 22 luglio prossimo. In evidenza anche Graham (Zanardi/Parilla), 10° in Gara 1 poi costretto a lasciare in Gara 2, Lavelli (Top Kart/Parilla) autore di un best lap nelle manche e 12° sia in Gara 1 che in Gara 2 e il duo Dabski (Praga/Parilla) - Guazzaroni (Top Kart/ Parilla) autori di splendide rimonte, sull’asciutto, in Gara 2: il ceco era 20° e chiude 9°, mentre l’italiano da 31° è risalito fino al 10° posto.
