Il circuito di Sarno ha ospitato questo fine settimana la prova d’apertura del campionato WSK Euro Series. La tappa che ha dato il via alla stagione 2012 ha visto imporsi nella classe KF2 il pilota monegasco Charles Leclerc, uno dei ‘driver’ ufficiali del Factory Team di ART Grand Prix.
Una vittoria che ha ripagato Leclerc e tutta la squadra diretta da Armando Filini, del grande lavoro svolto durante un fine settimana reso insidioso dalle condizioni meteorologiche molto variabili. Dopo la seconda posizione conquistata nella prefinale, Leclerc ha raggiunto il successo in finale grazie ad una gara strepitosa in cui ha fatto segnare anche il giro più veloce.
Il successo nella prova d’apertura della serie di maggior prestigio internazionale quale la WSK Euro Series, rappresenta per ART Grand Prix una significativa conferma della qualità dei propri telai. Per Leclerc si tratta di una tappa importante nella sua ancora giovane carriera, che lo vede al debutto nel 2012 nell’impegnativa KF2.

The Sarno circuit hosted the opening round of the 2012 WSK Euro Series. The
Monegasque ART official driver Charles Leclerc cruised to victory in the KF2 class handing the ART Grand Prix Factory Team a spectacular opening win in the Series.
Victory has been an handsome reward for Leclerc and the whole Team directed by
Armando Filini, as they did an huge amount of work over the weekend despite the
variable weather conditions. After ending up the pre-final in second place, Leclerc cruised to victory in the Final thanks to a sensational all-round performance. He also clocked the fastest lap of the race.
A successful start in the most prestigious championship of the international
panorama, the WSK Euro Series, confirmed the quality of the ART Grand Prix
chassis. For Leclerc, this will be a key step in its short career so far, as he rounded out his KF2 debut in the best possible way.
