Rick Dreezen ed Marco Ardigò mettono a segno una eccezionale doppietta nella finalissima della WSK Master Serie a Sarno. Il successo Tony Kart-Vortex nella classe regina, la KZ1, ha una gustosa premessa già al sabato, quando Ardigò vince gara-1 e Dreezen lo segue sul podio con il terzo posto. I nostri piloti guidano anche la classifica assoluta, Ardigò è leader e Dreezen segue al terzo posto.
Sul circuito campano ha fatto il suo debutto stagionale Flavio Camponeschi, momentaneamente impegnato in KF2, e lo statunitense Nick Neri in KZ2.
KZ1 - Il lavoro svolto sul materiale tecnico ha già dato ottimi riscontri con il vittorioso esordio alla Winter Cup e con la vittoria in gara-1 alla prima della WSK Master Series, a La Conca. Il Circuito Internazionale Napoli (Italia) è un tracciato che richiede il massimo dai motori e dai telai, essendo costituito sostanzialmente da due settori. Un primo tratto, che va dal traguardo sino a metà circuito, veloce e con lunghi curvoni scorrevoli. La parte finale è più lenta ed impegna il mezzo con accelerazioni e frenate. In questo contesto così selettivo era importante valutare il potenziale tecnico ed umano della nostra squadra per un duplice motivo. Sul Circuito di Napoli già il mese prossimo prenderà il via la WSK Euro Series e, sempre sulla stessa pista, a settembre, si correrà la prova unica di Coppa del Mondo di KZ1.
Tornando alla stretta attualità della WSK Master, in qualifica Dreezen ed Ardigò sono subito nelle prime posizioni, rispettivamente, con 5° e 6° tempo.
Nelle due manche che definiscono lo schieramento di gara-1 (che si svolge il sabato), Dreezen vince una gara e si guadagna la prima fila. Ardigò è in quarta fila, con l’ottavo posto. Alessandro Piccini scatta dalla sesta fila.
In gara Ardigò sfodera la sua determinazione e sfrutta al meglio un mezzo messo a punto perfettamente. Dalla quarta fila il nostro pilota sale rapidamente al comando della gara, segna il giro record in 1.03.111 e chiude i dodici giri con un margine di 1.244 sul primo degli inseguitori, Thonon. Sul podio sale, con pieno merito, anche l’altro nostro portacolori Dreezen.
Quanto fatto vedere nella prima gara è solo la migliore premessa di quello che accade la domenica. Ardigò vince entrambe le manche di qualifica e segna l’ennesimo best lap della manifestazione, nella seconda manche, con 1.03.240.
In finalissima Ardigò scatta dalla pole e Dreezen lo marca dalla seconda fila. La gara si sviluppa con un appassionante duello tra i nostri due piloti. Dreezen sorpassa Ardigò già nelle prime fasi di gara ed entrambi scappano velocissimi al comando della gara, chiudendo con un formidabile uno-due questa seconda prova della WSK Master.
I risultati del week end di Napoli lanciano Marco Ardigò al vertice della classifica con 100 punti e Rick Dreezen si inserisce nella lotta al vertice con 73 punti (3° posizione).
La gara finale della Master Series è in calendario dal 29 marzo al 1 Aprile sulla pista Internazionale 7 Laghi a Pavia, nelle vicinanze della nuova factory della Vortex. Un motivo in più, questo, per attendere con interesse ed emozione l’epilogo del campionato WSK Master.
KZ2 – Nella gara di Sarno ha fatto il suo debutto con il nostro Racing Team lo statunitense Nick Neri, presente in virtù dei numerosi successi ottenuti negli Stati Uniti. Neri si è meritato così la chiamata per gareggiare in questa occasione ed accrescere la sua esperienza in campo internazionale, in vista di futuri, eventuali, altri impegni.
Neri ha progredito costantemente nell’arco di tutto il fine settimana ed ha trovato un ottimo feeling con la squadra, mostrando ottimi spunti di competitività nel confronto con avversari che conoscevano perfettamente il tracciato e tutti i meccanismi di una gara di questo livello.
KF2 - La novità è stata il debutto stagionale di Flavio Camponeschi. Il giovane italiano sarà impegnato in tutte le gare di KF1 ed è stato schierato per lavorare in prospettiva della prima gara della WSK Euro, tra un mese sulla pista Napoli.
La finale di Camponeschi si è, purtroppo, conclusa con il ritiro, non prima di aver raccolto un successo nelle manche di qualifica.
In finale solo Damiano Fioravanti ha concluso in zona punti, con il decimo posto. Ma i Racer EVRR di team partner, come quello del Morsicani Racing, guidato da Antonio Fuoco, ha corso sempre al vertice.
Fuoco ha vinto due manche ed in finale ha siglato il best lap con 1.05.054, compiendo una rimonta non indifferente che lo ha portato dall’ultima posizione sino alla sesta finale.
KF3 – Anche nella classe cadetta, pur non schierando piloti ufficiali, rileviamo come i piloti dei numerosi team partner, affollano le primissime posizioni. E’ il caso del russo Nikita Sitnikov (Team Komarov), capace di vincere tre manche di qualifica, e dell’italiano Alessio Lorandi (Baby Race). Quest’ultimo è giunto sul podio della finalissima con il terzo posto.

“Speravo di poter vincere anche la finale di domenica. Purtroppo ho perso il feeling che avevo con il mezzo perché la pista è cambiata e non siamo riusciti a prevedere al meglio questo.
Valuterò cosa è successo e lo analizzeremo per capire bene come comportarci in queste situazioni, soprattutto in vista della prossima gara che faremo a Sarno, la WSK Euro del mese prossimo.
Il materiale funziona molto bene, ma non dobbiamo ritenerci soddisfatti o credere che gli altri staranno a guardare.
Per il campionato non farò tatticismi perché gli avversari sono vicini e molto pericolosi. Rick è terzo ed entrambi cercheremo la vittoria. Come ho detto non sarà possibile fare strategie perché siamo tutti molto vicini.”

DREEZEN-ARDIGO’. DOUBLE DECLUTCHING FOR TONY KART-VORTEX IN THE WSK MASTER OF SARNO
Rick Dreezen and Marco Ardigò sign an exceptional double-declutching in the very final of the WSK Master Series in Sarno. Tony Kart-Vortex success in the master class, KZ1, already showed the premises on Saturday, with Ardigò winning race-1 and Dreezen next to him on the podium with the third position.
Our drivers lead the general ranking, too, actually Ardigò is the leader and Dreezen owns the third position.

Moreover, at the Naples Circuit, Flavio Camponeschi had his seasonal début, currently engaged in KF2 and the American Nick Neri in KZ2 category.
KZ1 – The work done in terms of technical material gave very good results on the occasion of the first seasonal event of the Winter Cup already and with the win in race-1 at the first round of the WSK Master Series in La Conca. Naples International Circuit (Italy) being structured on two sectors, is a track which needs high engine and chassis performances. The first path from the starting grid to the half of the circuit is fast and has long and smooth bends. The final path is slower and the chassis is subject to continuous accelerations and breakings. In such a selective and difficult environment it was fundamental to evaluate our team’s technical and human potentials for two reasons. Naples International Circuit will host on next month the WSK Euro Series first and on September the World Cup of KZ1 category. Let’s go back to the current news of the WSK Master. In the qualifying heats Dreezen and Ardigò are soon in the first positions with the 5th and 6th best timing respectively.
In the two heats defining the lining up of race-1 (taking place on Saturday), Dreezen wins a race and takes the first row. Ardigò, eighth position, is in row four. Alessandro Piccini springs from the sixth row.
During the race Ardigò proves to be very well determined and takes the full advantage of his chassis, perfectly set up. From the fourth row our driver soon takes the leading of the race, signs the best lap in race with 1.03.111 and closes the twelve rounds with a gap of 1.244 over the first chaser, Thonon. Moreover it is fully deserved also the podium gained by the other driver of ours, Dreezen.
All this was just the premise of what occurred on Sunday. Ardigò wins both qualifying heats and signs the umpteenth best lap in the second heat with 1.03.240.
In the very final Ardigò springs from the pole and Dreezen marks him from the second row. The race opens an advancing fight between the two drivers of ours. Dreezen overtakes Ardigò in the very first steps of the race and both run very fast at the top positions, ending the second round of the WSK Master with an excellent first-second.
The results of this weekend in Naples launch Marco Ardigò at the top of the classification with a score of 100 and Rick Dreezen enters the fight with 73 points (3rd position).
The final race of the Master Series is scheduled from the next 29 of March to April, 1st at the International 7 Laghi Circuit in Pavia, quite close to the new Vortex factory. One more reason to await for this appointment of the WSK Master championship with full excitement.
KZ2 – On the occasion of the Sarno race the American Nick Neri got his début with our Racing Team, attending the race due to the several successes gained in the United States. Neri deserved the participation to this event and took advantage of this opportunity to grow his experience at International level before his next engagements.
Neri constantly ameliorated during the whole week end and got a very good feeling with the team, giving hints while competing with his opponents who very well knew the track and all the tips and trick of a high level competition.
KF2 - The real news was the début of Flavio Camponeschi. The young Italian will be engaged in all KF1 category’s races and was lined up to work from the first race of the WSK Euro Series, scheduled in one month at the Naples circuit. The final for Camponeschi unfortunately ended with a withdrawal but not before having achieved a success in the qualifying heats. In the final only Damiano Fioravanti closed with the tenth position. However the Racer EVRR chassis of our team partners, as the Morsicani Racing, directed by Antonio Fuoco, always ran at the top.
Fuoco won two heats and in the final signed the best lap with 1.05.054, with a very good recovery from the last to the sixth position in the final.
KF3 – In the master class, too, even with no official drivers, we can see how the drivers of the many partner teams of ours own the very first positions. This is the case of the Russian Nikita Sitnikov (Team Komarov), able to win three qualifying heats and of the Italian Alessio Lorandi (Baby Race). This last go the third step of the podium in the very final.
60 MINI – In the category of the youngest drivers, Tony Kart chassis are having good results thanks to the valid partner teams such as Baby Race and the driver Leonardo Lorandi, leader of the absolute ranking.

“I hoped to win the Sunday final, too. Unfortunately I lose the feeling I had with the chassis because the track changed and we were not so fast to evaluate it.
I will try to understand what happened and we all make a report of to better understand how to behave in such conditions, above all considering the next race we will do in Sarno on next month, the WSK Euro Series.
The technical material is excellent but not for this reason we may think is enough or we may think other teams just look at us!
Concerning the championship I do not want play tactics since the rivals are very close and dangerous. Rick is in third position and we both will look for the success. As I said before, it is not possible for the moment to think about strategies since we are all very close to each other.”
