You should be well and truly settled into this year now – it’s amazing how quickly the time goes by! It seems only yesterday we at KartOz were on the Christmas break. But there’s no rest for the wicked and it’s been a busy month for us.
Keeping our noses to the grindstone has been the first round of Rotax Pro Tour, with a record number of entries forcing some split heats. This series has really come into its own and with spots at the Rotax World Finals on offer it’s no surprise to see it so busy.
Speaking of busy, the annual Combined Districts Kart Club ‘Ladies Special Even’t was run and won recently. This is a really great event that we’re a big supporter of here at KartOz, and the ladies outdid themselves this year not only in racing but also in money raised and the spirit of the event. With a larger WA and NZ contingent promised, next year’s event is already shaping up to be bigger than ever and you’d do well to begin planning now.
In a similar vein, the fifth annual Brian Farley Memorial took place recently at Eastern Creek and it was up to its usual high standards. Some serious talent turned out to compete and it made for some great racing, and you can read our summary inside.
Plus, as usual, inside this month’s issue we have loads of other racing news from around Australia and the rest of the world.
Look for the cover featuring Jason Hryniuk winner of Pro Clubman at the Brian Farley Memorial.
It's well worth a read!
