Formula Kart Productions, exclusive owner and promoter of the 2012 Florida Winter Tour presented by SPORTALITY, announced today the addition of the IAME X30 engine to the FWT Formula TaG Senior and TaG Masters classes, and the addition of the IAME X30 and Rotax FR125 engines to the TaG Junior class.
The addition of these engines provides additional competition and award opportunities for competitors who desire to race the Formula Kart event weekends of the 2012 FWT. FKP’s Bill Wright noted that the major reasons for inclusion of these engines was the comprehensive support program offered for the X30, and numerous requests by Rotax Junior engine owners. “I’ve had many requests over the last two years to include the Rotax FR engine in the TaG Junior category. When TS Racing approached me with a very attractive support program for the X30, specifically one that included a component that supports additional international competition awards, I decided the time was right to expand the class offerings.”
The details of the X30 support program:
For the 1st race weekend in West Palm Beach:
• TS Racing will supply 5 Free to use Senior engines.
• TS Racing will supply 3 Free to use Junior engines.
• Additional engines will be available for rent for $100 per event.
• TS Racing will supply DR Kart chassis for rent for the FWT series.
For the 2nd race weekend in Homestead:
• The two highest placing X30 drivers from race 1 will receive an engine to use for free in race 2.
• Additional engines will be available for rent for $200 per event.
• TS Racing will supply DR Kart chassis for rent for the FWT series.
For the 3rd race weekend in Ocala:
• The highest placing X30 driver from race 2 will receive an engine to use for free in race 3.
• Additional engines will be available for rent for $200 per event.
• TS Racing will supply DR Kart chassis for rent for the FWT series.
In addition to the above, if the FWT series champion in the Junior or Senior classes is on an X30 engine for all six races, they will receive a $1000 voucher toward the 2012 IAME INTERNATIONAL FINAL race in France. This race is scheduled for the end of October 2012.

TS Racing is offering a special introductory price to purchase the X30 engine of $2999. Registration for the free and rental engines will be posted shortly on the TSRacing.com web site.
Specific technical regulations regarding these motors will be released in the immediate future. In an effort to ease participation it is anticipated that the TaG Senior and TaG Masters regulations will mirror those of the WKA Man Cup. The FWT TaG Junior regulations will see the Leopard continue with the 25mm* header at a reduced weight of 315* pounds. The X30 will compete on the 31mm* header at 315 pounds*. The Rotax FR125 will be run using official RMC specs* at 320 pounds*.
