November 14, 2011 (Fontana, Calif.) – Buddy Rice Karting's convoy of support vehicles are only hours away from leaving for the biggest race in the country, the SKUSA SuperNationals at the Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino November 16-20.
“The SuperNats is the World Series of US karting,” says Rice. “It's the only time of the year that Joe Karter gets a chance to race against the best in the world and we look forward to it every year.” BRK heads to Vegas with an fifteen driver international team. Racers representing America, Canada, and Brazil will lead the charge for SuperNationals Victory.
BRK's best hopes lie in the TAG classes with an especially stout lineup in TAG Sr. Vegas local, Matt Johnson earned a TAG Sr. SpringNationals win earlier in the year and you can never count out the likes of Mason Marotta or Adrian Starrantino. Travis Lowe is always one to watch at the SuperNats, and if he can keep out of trouble expect to see him up front. Christian Brooks, reigning Rotax National Champion will headline the TAG Cadet class for BRK. Joining him will be Flinn Lazier, Eric Nascimento, Joao Pedro Goncalves and Luiz Branquinho. Fresh off a great run at the Lancaster GP Carter Williams looks for his first SuperNationals TAG Jr. win along with Zachary Claman-DeMelo. BRK has one driver each entered in TAG Masters (Jason Bell), S2 (Alec Gumpfer), and KF2 (John Wallace). “We've assembled a great team,” said BRK's Seth Nash. “Our drivers are ready, our mechanics are ready, we're ready, the real question is if Vegas is ready for us.”
While most of team BRK heads to Sin City, Parker Thompson is off to the Rotax Max Challenge World Finals in Al Ain, Dubai. Thompson earned a spot for Team Canada through the Gatorz Challenge of the Americas series and is expected to be a top contender for BRK.
