
h. 9:00 pm: The first round of the CIK-FIA European Championship for the KF and KF-J classes has just come to a close on the Motorland Aragon track in Alcaniz, Spain, with surprise results and turning of tables.
In the KF Final, after a difficult start (the race had to restart 3 times) and an intense battle, the Spanish track scnationed the victory of Komsic driver Nicklas Nielsen (Kosmic/Vortex), on top all weekend and already 2nd in his prefinal (the PF2). On the podium of the KF final with the Dane there is also his connational Christian Sorensen (Tony Kart/Vortex) of the Ward Racing team and the Dutchman Max Verstappen (CRG-TM), already winner of the WSK Euro Series.
In KF-Junior the field saw new protagonists face off with more experienced drivers. In the Final race victory went to English driver Lando Norris (FA Kart/Vortex) of the Ricky Flynn Motorsport team, after the penalty for contact (precisely with Norris) assigned to Thai driver Sasakorn Chaimongkol (Kosmic/TM) -poleman and first at the finish and already winner of prefinal 1. Italian-Belgian driver and prefinal 2 winner Matteo Raspatelli (Tony Kart-Parilla) takes 2nd place, right behind Norris at the checkered, while mDutch driver Martijn van Leeuwen (Zanardi/TM) completes the podium
